One of the top players in the state of Georgia that is loaded with talent. USF might not be done with that state yet.

RASHUN WILLIAMS SAYS YES TO SOUTH FLORIDA

Garrett Tucker September 4, 2017
Rashun Williams

2018 Calhoun County (GA) wing Rashun Williams only needed one official visit to decide where he wanted to spend his college basketball career. The Georgia native made his pledge to South Florida on Monday evening following an official visit.

"South Florida was the best place for me," Williams told HoopSeen.com. "It's just a beautiful place to be."

Williams' visit to South Florida was his first of three planned official visits. He also had set up trips to Mercer and Middle Tennessee State.

Brian Gregory and his staff built in-roads early with Williams and his family. They were also very familiar with each other dating back to Gregory's coaching tenure at Georgia Tech.

"The coaches are all family guys and really cool. I love the new staff and the school is great. I love everything about South Florida."

Williams, a tough, hard-nosed 6-foot-5 wing, had a tremendous July with the Georgia Stars. He was one of the most impressive players at Best of the South and even caught the eye of some Power-5 programs. Williams was one of the best slashers in the South throughout the travel season, and he brings versatility on the defensive end of the floor.

Williams is South Florida's first pledge in the 2018 recruiting cycle. The Bulls have made it a focal point to recruit Georgia, as they are in a good position with several other players from the Peach State, including Trey Doomes.
