Next to Lamar Jackson, there might not be a more dynamic dual-threat quarterback than Flowers, who rushed for 1,530 yards and 18 touchdowns to go with 24 touchdown passes in 2016. He leads a Bulls team that's favored to win the American and could go undefeated. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20171240/happy-august-college-football-almost-here

Some of the "dark horse" candidates don't get this much coverage in the offseason.

If we do go undefeated expect this to become an even bigger issue with the P5 bias crowd i.e. ESPN.

If we do go undefeated expect this to become an even bigger issue with the P5 bias crowd i.e. ESPN. The only way it really is an "issue" is if there is some sort of argument for our inclusion in the Playoff (highly unlikely) or if there is a 1 loss conference champ from the other G5 conferences that would have a case to make. A quick look at potential G5 teams that could make this argument reveals that there are 8 or 9 teams that conceivably, with only 1 loss, would have an argument to take the G5 spot over an undefeated USF. The Mountain West tends to cannibalize itself, but BSU, SDSU, Air Force, New Mexico, and Colorado State would all have an impressive 1 loss resume and include at least 1 notable OOC win for each team. In CUSA, there really doesn't seem to be a contender, given the attrition at WKU and La Tech, but if La Tech were to go 12-1, they would have a victory over either Miss. St. or South Carolina, so they would have an argument. In the Sun Belt the only two potential sleepers would be App. St. and Troy. A 12-1 App St would have a victory over either Georgia or Wake Forest and a 12-1 Troy would have a road victory over Boise St. or LSU. In the MAC there isn't much in the way of threats to go 12-1, but if Western Michigan were to go 12-1 it would include at wither USC or Michigan St. Toldeo might be the best team in the MAC, but their schedule only includes OOCs against Tulsa and Miami, so 12-1 wouldn't present that convincing of an argument for them to make. Ohio's schedule isn't good enough to get it done with 1 loss.
