He hit 5-of-10 shots from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Coaching, recruiting, developing talent or at least the talent of the players he recruited, not having academic scandals. OK, I guess he didn't kill any athletes that we know of or get a DUI. That's his legacy folks, no DUI, no dead athletes. Killed the program though.

This just might be worse becasue we had the Big East then to at least see some good teams come to the dome

Not the reason they are playing sloppy. Not the reason they are trying drive while out muscled and keeping the ball outside opting for low percentage shots. Pull the ball inside, put it into Tulio's hands, G's hands, or Santos' hands and let them get comfortable and go to work. Rather than the chaotic "drive the lane" tactic. Thorpe didn't play so what the hell did people expect going up against the #19 team in the country, with one of the top defenses, without your "most" experienced point guard ..... bloodbath is the first term that comes to mind. And the Holtz-like over dramatizations about burning the program to the ground and killing the program are their usual funny stuff. What COA did was just further delay the build/rebuild that was already delayed with the decision to can Stan. Whoever gets handed the reins next year, barring a repeat of the defections that started the COA era, should have a decent foundation to build off of ...
