Florida - Meyer

FSU - Bowden

Miami- Coker

USF - Leavitt

UCF - O'Leary

FAU - Schnellenberger

FIU - Strock

It doesn't have to be this year, but which program will see change first?  I'd think Florida is at the bottom of the list, while Schnellie maybe Bowden would be at the top due to retirement...

Who gets turned over first and not out of retirement, but a firing?

That's a tough one...

firing.... my guess would be Strock, mostly becasue FAU has had tremendous early success and FIU hasnt done much at all.  those two programs serve as measuring sticks to the other and FAU is "lightyears" ahead of FIU IMO

If FAMU was on the list, I'd go with them, but FIU would be first to recycle their coaching.  They are in dire need of early success to validate themselves as I-A.

True, but FAU has had much higher expectations and, so far hasn't quite lived up to them.  I would say Schnelly might be the first to go.

FAU was in the final 4 of the Div IAA playoffs in only their 2-3 year and they went 9-3 last year in their transition year.... the only thing they are missing is support

and all the ridiculous expectations were brought on by Snelly talking about national titles, etc.  If anyone really believed all that hype they need to pass and stop puffing so much

FAU is on track for a school that is new to I-A.  They made a big splash last year with a 9-3 record and did really well a couple of years ago.

I'd be very pleased if I was FAU's AD.  FIU, however, looks like they are running the other way.  I see them struggling for a while.

Interesting topic.  I think it'd be Strock if you're talking purely performance/expectations but Schnelly if age/health is the whole concern.  I think that Bowden's tenure plays into both.  He sure as heck isn't going to be terminated but the expectations are such that losing to UF (more likely with Urban Meyer, imo) and a bowl game loss may start the quiet pressure to step down from the boosters.  I think that  if Joe Pa were to leave PSU and guarantee BB's win lead, he'd leave sooner, rather than later and have to deal with that.

Of the coaches that would tend to be 'hired away' for good performance in their current schools, I think O'leary is more likely than Leavitt because of CJL's local ties and 'fatherhood' of the program.

Performance-only:

Strock - poor performance

O'Leary - a better record (5-6 wins) this year will make him attractive to a BCS program.  0-4 wins will move him just above Meyer because of his contract.

Bowden - high expectations and losses to UF, nepotism

Coker/Leavitt/Schnelly - Solid records, overall

Meyer - good coach, lots of money/support.

Age:

Bowden

Schnelly

Coker

O'Leary

Strock

Leavitt/Meyer

Overall WAG:

Strock - performance

Bowden (if Joe Pa leaves) - leaves on top

Schelly - age/health

O'Leary - hired away

Coker

Leavitt

Meyer - honeymooning in GNV
