If you don't play the sport or you don’t play in the American, you get 0 points, so everyone who plays gets at least 1. If you win you get the number of points equivalent to the number of teams. Hence in women’s basketball there are 11 teams, so as conference champs, UConn gets 11 pts, as runner-up USF gets 10 and so on. If there is a tie the average place of the tied teams is used. So if two teams tied for first in a twelve team sport they would both get 11.5 points. Additional points are granted for post-season conference tournaments (Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Baseball) Each win/bye in a conference tourney gets you an extra point. No points are awarded for NCAA tournaments. Why? Because this is the American Cup not the ‘let’s compare ourselves to the rest of the exclusionary NCAA’ cup. Current standings are as follows All Fall & Winter Sports included: UConn 94.5 Tulsa 77.5 Cincinnati 70.5 Temple 70 USF 66 Memphis 57 SMU* 55.5 Houston 49 E Carolina 48 UCF 40 Tulane 34 Navy10 USF Breakdown: Football – 4th in standings – 9 pts Men’s Soccer – 2nd in standings & AAC Tourn. App & Win – 9 pts Women’s Soccer – 2nd in standings & AAC Tourn. App & 2 Wins – 12 pts Volleyball – 9th in standings – 3 pts MXCountry – 8th place in Championship – 2 pts WXCountry – 5th place in Championship – 7 pts Men’s Basketball - 9th in standings & AAC Tourn. App & Win – 4 pts Women’s Basketball - 2nd in standings & AAC Tourn. App/Bye & 2 Wins – 14 pts Men’s Indoor T&F – 3rd place in Championship – 5 pts Women’s Indoor T&F – 10th place in Championship – 1 pt SMU Men’s basketball was not given any points for their season as the team was banned from the AAC tournament. No position in the tournament = no standing = no points.

I am curious to see how UConn has such a large lead. Also what is up with our Cross Country and Track and Field teams, thought we'd have some athletes to do better in these sports? I don't care if you don't care so don't go on about how you don't care. I am bored at work today so this is what I did. " But since this is my 5th update it was getting kind of old.
