Strategy idea for offense

Any time it's 3rd down and we're not in FG range, just air it out.  We have a horrible 3rd down conversion rate.  What could happen?  Incomplete? We weren't gonna get a 1st anyway and we don't lose yards.  Interception?  Just like a punt.  Penalty or complete?  Bonus!  I guess we could figure out a way to get sacked for a 13 yd loss, so there's a small downside.

At some point this season I think we drop conventional football and do just this.

A sound strategy - especially when considering this Bulls' offense.  In college football, the chances for a pass interference call on those long passes is fairly high; so why not err on the side of being aggressive.  So, as long a Willie Low T is doing the play-calling, big breaks are going to be required to overcome this inept offense.

We are the least aggressive offense I have seen.  We run the ball on first down like 95% of the time. Taggart will get fired doing the same might as well try something different it just might work.

USF had 23 first down plays before Memphis took a 2 TD lead.  On the 23 plays, Taggart called a run 22 times... the only pass was on the first drive, a 1st and 15 pass to Sean Price that set up the first TD.
