New Helmet design?

I received an email from the Alumni Association and in the picture showing our helmet clashing with Syracuse's it appears to be a helmet design we haven't seen released yet.

Anyone else notice? Maybe I'm late to the party here...

Yea that's what I remember it from. Why would they use a fan's design as official release to promote something?

And...

I mentioned it a while back... the USF EQUIPMENT twitter account did mention a new uniform design coming out sometime during the season

I'll see if I can find it

I was telling my wife that the chrome domes need an outline to the U logo which this has.

 

Personally though I don't like it because you can't really make out the logo. The purpose of an icon is to readily identify the brand...and you lose that with this design. It looks good on the jersey's so long as you can make it out on the helmet.

I definitely agree

However, if this is a one time use deal, like a Homecoming game-only special, I'd be good with it.
