Glad the women are starting to get the credit they so richly deserve.

 

 

21. South Florida Bulls

Coach Jose Fernandez has a contract extension, the Bulls just matched a program-high 27 wins and their highest-ever NCAA tournament seed (No. 6), and USF reached the second round. The best news of all is that All-American candidate Courtney Williams is back for her senior season. She led the American in scoring, while classmate Alisia Jenkins was the league's top rebounder.

Love getting the love but I would have thought with all we have coming back plus who we're bringing in, we'd get a little more love than 21st. Maybe I'm too much of a homer about our girl's BBall team.

Your not too much of a homer. Even UConn fans on their message board think that we should be ranked better. However considering that USF has NEVER been ranked in the preseason polls, #21 is not completely out of line.

 

I found the poll in a related thread on the UConn Board and posted that I thought we would be a top 16 team.

I am getting WBB season tickets because this will be a special season... I think they are better than #21... but that is "kinda" where we ended up last year... #6 seed in the NCAA means at least 20 teams were seeded 1 - 5...

I just hope we find a solution for the big, phyiscal teams... Louisville last year had some big, strong post defenders that I think was the edge in that game.

I agree.

 

USF added some height and bulk.

 

We should be able to better  contend against bigger teams this year.

 

There is one big player, a JUCO, I'd love to add, but she doesn't have USF on her radar. She recently visited FSU and has a few more visits scheduled with other top teams. We did add one big JUCO from the same country, who is not as heralded, but I'm hopeful that she will hel give us some needed depth at the center position. Both of them together would have been even better.

The incoming JUCO player is, Nancy Warioba C 6-3 Jr. Kisumu, Kenya (Blinn College) (Tigoi Girls HS).
Not only is she tall, but she is also fairly wide. :)

I find this ranking bogus... I have them ranked #1 :GoBulls:  :iconic_u_black:  :GoBulls:  :iconic_u_black:  :GoBulls: 7...  because actually A&M should be 16 then followed by USF... Oh, and Kentucky is actually more suited for the 21 spot.  I mean if you're looking at players and play... USF brings back that entire team and actually added talent to it.  I'm just saying.... Go Bulls!

We can always use this as motivation to prove the voters wrong and make the eat crow after finishing in the top 16 so id use it as motivation to do just that
