What we need is for TCU to upset OU this weekend. This will make it possible for the B12 to be left out of the playoff. That will start the ball rolling about B12 expansion. As for any other accomplishments while existing as a non-p5, I'll give it all up to be in a P5. This season has shown me that there's only one goal for USF: get into a P5!

In my mind, USF has always been about doing more with less. This was doing less with more and then saying well done. BUT, I must not forget that Texas was paying this year. I feel better now.

Here's something interesting. If this time period were last season when Strong was just let go from Texas, I bet he would get picked up. So, after one year at USF, has his stock gone up or down? Lots of openings, so let's see how it all plays out.

That tells me he's not committed to USF and his job. As a fan, I'm allowed to enjoy the game and respect UCF for what they did on the field. But as a coach, he can't claim "complete game" when he coached a huge loss like that. He should be feeling like he failed and takes the blame. I've not read his comments and I'm just going from what's referenced here. But, frankly, I don't want to read it. I hope this crew is gone after a few more weeks. Thanks, Texas, but no thanks. I support the players 100% but this coaching staff needs to GOOOOO! Why? How this offense was misused all season is just too much for me. Yes, we won. But it just shows me they have no clue how to build for the future. When our current seniors are gone, we are going to hurt for a long time playing the style Strong and his coaches want to play. And the defense? What defense? Special teams --not special to me! And don't forget USF is going to be paying a lot of money after next season for this staff. Please let them go to the SEC or wherever. That will be a blessing for our university. Hey, it's been a good season and fun. But strategically and financially for our school, we need to let him get hired away. Hopefully, that game was a good commercial for some school in the SEC to make a hire from USF!

Yes! You are reading this correctly. All the data that I've been gathering about this game says USF WINS. I know we've played sluggish football all year offensively, and we've gambled too much on defense at times and paid the price at least once -to Houston. However, everything is lining up perfectly for a nice, solid win over the rusted tin men. (1) Florida Athletes vs. Florida Athletes: USF wins this matchup because we'll have more rest and we have more seniors. (2) Flowers and the senior leadership on this team, they've seen it all, including losing their head coach and adjusting to new coaches. (3) Flowers, his talent, and his elusiveness. ucf hasn't seen a QB like Flowers since last year when they got beat. Nobody has ever stopped Flowers! ---NOBODY! (4) Our guys have already gotten all the bad voodoo plays out of their system, including that snake-bite play against Houston. The guys will play well. (5) Strong and Gilbert will make better decisions on play selections: the odds are just staggering against them making the same mistakes after what they've seen this season. (6) ucf is not that good. Solid but not world beaters. I've watched a lot of their games now. With Flowers and our RBs, I think we will move the ball and score plenty. Not a problem! (7) All things being equal, I think the intangibles favor USF. Plus, ucf hasn't had to fight for a game this year; they don't know what it's like. Get on top of them and they will start to doubt. And deep down they know their coach is gone after a few more games. That's got to eat at them. Home field advantage? I don't think so. Our players are just going across I-4 and taking their year-long frustrations out on the rusted tin men! These gnats are very average (as in not a FSU-like team when we played FSU). USF WINS! I GUARANTEE IT! ---In all the years on this forum, don't think I've ever guaranteed a victory before.

Go on youtube and watch some of their games. They are going to be very surprised come Friday. The Bulls are going to tear them a new one! Time to send them back to what they know so well: DEFEAT and HUMILIATION

Offensively, we can score on them -if we don't get conservative. I think we go over 30 pts. Defensively, we have to be disciplined and not let the long pass eat us alive. QB runs are also dangerous. I worry about our defense more. We can't stop a cold sometimes.

Okay... I misspoke! I was only expressing my frustration with what's happened to the offense. CCS and pooano football @ USF aren't mutually exclusive! Amen.

People outside of USF love CCS. I root for those people; I hope their aspirations come true. I'm at a point that I'm willing to entertain the idea of schiano football at USF. Yes, it has gotten to that place for me.

Big plays are going to dictate this game. We haven't had enough of them this year and I think we are overdue. As for the defense, I think if we don't gamble so much, we'll be alright. Zone coverage without getting through to the QB is a deadly combo. Offensive coaching aside, I think Flowers and the guys will make things happen. Never count out Flowers! And the seniors will show up big time. You are on the clock, Gnats!
