I'll disagree with that. Things I would be happy with him saying out loud...... 1. We are actively monitoring the conference landscape and are working hard to keep USF in a prime position. We know what's happening out there and we aren't sleeping on the job. 2. We are not happy with the performance of our football team. These loses are unacceptable and I am in constant communication with Coach Holtz regarding his staff and the direction of this program. We will do what is in the best interests of this University and its Alumni. Success on the field is our goal first and foremost. Agreed. Perhaps he assumes, which he shouldn't because it is reassuring to hear during trying times, that the fan base already knows this. Yes, just reassure us. Right now we are just stirring in our own juices and getting angry.

You guys know that they make arrangements when they schedule interviews like this. Subjects are off limits, certain tones are agreed upon, DW wouldn't have agreed to the interview if that wasn't the case.

I'm there every week. It's not recorded clapping. It's real. Forgive me if this is too personal but do you clap for Holtz when you are there? I do. I have a more personal relationship with Coach Holtz than just being a fan, so I like to show support whenever I can. Does he hand out all those time outs he hoards every game? /jk I wouldn't be able to do it. I get physically sick every time they show his mug on the sidelines, smiling after every INT and blown pass coverage.

Nonsense - that eliminates teams that are far better than the champions of lesser conferences. How do you know they are "far better"? I hate this line of thinking. Win your conference and get it. A playoff like this would have likely prevented this idiotic reshuffling of conferences. Exactly. Until they play, there is zero proof a Sunbelt or CUSA champion couldn't beat the SEC champ in the Championship game. To just assume teams in certain conferences are better than others is just the worst thing about college football. That's why we play the games.

Which I would be perfectly OK with, as long as future success would be rewarded and recognized with promotion.

We've been competitive in EVERY game except the last two... This is the type **** I'm talking about. Competitive against a lot of mediocre competition. And competitive does not equal winning. Or even close to winning.

Smartest post all day. The assistant coach issue is really killing us, we are full of inept coaches who share the same weaknesses as Holtz. Did Holtz manage games this poorly 2 years ago? I don't believe so. He looks lost and confused on the sidelines, I think a lot of that has to do with poor distribution of duties and the inability of certain staff members to do their jobs. Don't hire your friends if you can't fire your friends, coach.

I don't know how to demand action on something that is already being done. No doubt Woolard is trying to get us out, the only reason he hasn't been able to so far is that nobody wants us. That may change, but it's the truth right now.

Only Cosh. Our offense hasn't been the problem. I'll slightly agree about the offense, but I thought play calling has been absolutely horrible this year. Predictable and not fitting of the players we had.

Judy hired Woolard and doesn't want to look bad by admitting he isn't doing a great job, Woolard hired Skip and doesn't want to admit the same thing for the same reasons.

He comes here and he either A) Suffers a career ending injury or Is an overrated mediocre at best QB Meanwhile, if he plays somewhere else he magically becomes a Heisman winning monster and is drafted in the first round by the NY Giants. Get signs, around 20 or so people, and stand outside the Administration or Athletics offices. Demand answers. These people have so much money you can't hurt them financially, but the next most precious thing they have is their pride. Embarrass them. Have a Times writer take pictures of you picketing Judy's window. Embarrassing her will force her hand. Writing emails or petitions do nothing, but dragging her out into the public square hurts her reputation. And she won't have that. But of course we all have lives, so that won't happen.

I think most know he is not coming back and would prefer to move on. It seems that most coaches are at their best in a 10 to 12 year window and then fade back. I just like to point out that things were not so back when we were going to the MagicPizzaJack.com bowl like some made it out to be. I had a feeling if we picked the wrong guy that things could get ugly and they have. It wasn't Leavitt's fault the Big Least has ****** bowl games. If you want good bowl games then USF needs to be in the SEC or Big 12. Well, he had a shot in a decent bowl (Sun Bowl), remember how that turned out? The Leavitt talk is coming from people who are looking back and going "Gee golly wiz, remember how great that was?". And that's not the way to look at it. Sure Leavitt bleeds green and gold, but he is the king of the mid season collapse. Honorable winner of ZERO conference championships. So while he is better than Holtz (who strangely has more championships than Leavitt), we need to aim higher. Or you do a disservice to the program. Not to mention it will never happen while Judy is President. Never.

No, guy hit a kid. And even if you don't believe he did, he couldn't win in a mediocre Big East and more than once appeared off his rocker. We need new blood, not old.

Isn't that the reason Doug gave Skip the extension in the first place? Because he was planning on jumping for the first bigger paycheck? Never said Holtz was a great hire either. But Petrino would jump ship at the first available opportunity for prestige or $, no question. Guy cares about one thing only-Himself.

And without BJ we are 1-6. Kid was the only one doing our school proud on that field.

So you want to hire a guy who will have zero respect for the school and will leap at the first sign of a bigger paycheck? Great.....
