Bortles was a beast for UCF and deserves to go in the first round.

Maryland and NC State are both winnable games. Maryland was average this year and NC State was awful. We won't be favored obviously but I wouldn't count them as losses just yet. I'll be happy if we can get through the OOC at 2-2.

6-6 or 7-5 is a must. 4-8 or 5-7 is more likely, but that is FOUR years without a bowl.

Good get for us. USF needs some playmakers.

I don't understand you guys are even talking about Holtz right now. Whether He could recruit or not, the guy was a loser for us, and put this program in a deep, deep hole. He is gone. Move on, and support Coach Taggart. Taggart is doing a good job recruiting this year (amazing job, IMO considering the 2-10 season), but let's all hope he can turn it into wins.

Love it. CWT is impressive when it comes to recruiting. Hope he can turn that into wins.

Like what I'm seeing. Signing day is going to be huge this year. Another 2-10 season is unacceptable. He gets a pass this year, but we need to see big improvements on offense in 2014.

Dunkley I'll give you, he seems to always run the wrong route...McFarland though? That guy was our only weapon in the passing game not named Davis.

We are missing two things. 1) Nick Marshall 2) The number one defense in the country. USF needs a GREAT player at QB for a one year turnaround. I like White, but he made a lot of freshman mistakes. Hopefully He can improve on them next year.

He should come back. He was not impressive, but did improve as the year went on.

White also did not win a game as a QB. That honor belongs to Eveld and Bench. Any QB at the college level who repeatedly fumbles the snap while under the center has no idea what he is doing. White needs to trade in his football uniform for a clown suit. Seriously? I understand we had a frustrating year, but White was the best QB we had this year by far. He should improve in the offseason, and I can't imagine another true freshman coming in and replacing him unless we get a superstar. Also, he didn't repeatedly fumble the snap until last night if I recall correctly. Clearly He wasn't used to gloves.

4th and goal from the 12 is different than 4th and goal from inside the 5.

White is on fire. So of course we lose three yards on a run.

I would really love to see what our offense could do if we stopped with the penalties. White looks like he is warming up, would love to see a TD before halftime.

Thankfully, the ACC and B1G championship games have started. I can't take much more of this USF game.

Agreed. I think the defense overall has improved throughout the year. The turnovers have been an amazing improvement over last year as well. Next year will be interesting with some key guys graduating this year though.

You go for it there. How many chances does usf get inside the 10? Taggart knows field goals aren't going to win this game. It was the right call.

IT IS YEAR FREAKING ONE.

He was competitive with Georgia Southern late in the season with lots of injuries. CWT had all off-season to prepare and got his rear handed to him in our 1-AA! It is looking more and more like firing Skip Holtz last season was a bad call - not just Muschamp but there are going to be lots of other coaches available this coming year. We likely win 1 or 2 more games this season with Skip and spend a lot less money! 1. Which of these coaches available would USF land that would be an improvement over Taggart? 2. We are paying less for CWT than we would for Holtz, even with the buyout money and Cosh's salary this year. You guys are out of your mind in the criticism of Taggart. This year sucks, but it would have been even worse with Skip and the infamous Cosh defense. Changing the system, and rebuilding the program from ground zero takes time.

Unfortunately, the offense doesn't have to get just 10 yards for a first down. It's usually 15-20. Penalties KILL drives, and USF had over 100 yards of penalties last night. If the penalties are fixed, the offense will move.

This may be the most inaccurate post I have ever read. Please, do explain. Taggart was handed a turd and is trying to turn it into a winning team. It isn't going to happen overnight. This team is bad, really bad, but it will get better. All fans of new coaches say they inherited turds. We are the WORST TEAM IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Arkansas, Kentucky, Cal, Purdue...All new big hire head coaches this year...all inherited turds...all are struggling. It takes time to turn things around at programs much larger than USF, I don't know why we should expect instant success.
