I hate to use the word "expectations" when it comes to USF football. I always hope for the same things: 1) Represent my alma mater well and bring some positive PR to the school since most people only know us from football. 2) Provide me with a few hours of entertainment.
The second part has been a bit of stretch lately and has shaved a few years off of my liver. But hey, we have a dynamite medical program, so I'm hoping we come up with something down the road to make up for the severe damage I've caused myself the last few years.
****, Jay, I was going to jump on that remark but you beat me to it.
Shakes head.
Doc
I feel bad. I like you McNeese guys that come here and we're in full meltdown because we lost to you. Sorry about that.
Well, if we're concerned about the effect of booing and negative comments have on our current players, showing up at school after a loss like this can't be any easier on our commits.
Every post you've made since last night was about the decisions Holtz made. This entire thread is based on the idea that a series of bad decisions (in hindsight) added up to CWT not being able to beat a 1-AA team.
You do realize that 3rd string QB started for us last night, right?
And there were 3 other options the head coach didn't choose. 2 of them we can guess about, but 1 of them was clearly a better option.
Good to see you have 20/20 vision looking backwards just like everyone else.
Then this works both ways. You're no longer allowed to criticize Holtz for his decisions. Hindsight and all.

Hem, you didn't get the memo? There isn't a single player on this team with talent due to Holtz. And any player that could be considered marginal has been systematically brainwashed to try and lose.
Is it wrong that I kind of want to see them run Floyd out all year just for entertainment purposes? I mean, we're all in agreement this team is not going to a bowl. So lets see what kinds of fun we can have with a full season of Floyd.
How many turnovers did he commit tonight? How many tackles did he miss? Where was he manhandled trying to rush the passer or penetrate the line of scrimmage?
CWT is responsible for all of them. Because Holtz was just as responsible the last few years and it got him fired.
Look, it's hard to go against this big-picture wise ... the head coach takes the credit for the wins and the fall for the losses. I get it.
I'm just saying that it's too similar to the end of 2012 that we still look like the same team that ended last year mentally, because we made the same **** mistakes.
All I've said is that there's still a lot of work to do to make this "Tag's team."
No, you don't. Because you're saying "I get it" and then in the next sentence blaming it on Skip. Answer this, do you honestly believe McNeese has more talented football players on their team?
Talent, no. Determined to win? Yes. More continuity in good coaching? Yes. There's more to the game than just the talent on the field.
I believe that if this game was to be played next year, we'd win lights out because the latter two would improve with the mindset fully taking hold.
So we were out coached. Pretty straightforward.

Some - not every bit. Obviously we are a work in progress, Taggart mentality hasn't totally set in with our guys yet. Gonna take some time.
I refuse to believe McNeese is the more talented team. CWT got his ass handed to him tonight.
