    I don't expect a miracle, but I'm still confused on why everyone thinks the cupboard is completely bare. If you use our recent recruiting as a gauge of talent on the roster, we're basically the same level we've been at forever. If you use Rivals as an example (don't bother ******** about recruiting rankings and what they mean, if we're only using USF as the example, it doesn't matter if we're higher or lower than more "popular" schools since we're the constant every year), explain how we've fallen off. 2003: 61 2004: 57 2005: 50 2006: 59 2007: 58 2008: 54 2009: 29 2010: 62 2011: 63 (Andre Davis's class, for what its worth) 2012: 49 2013: 47 Or since its Holtz we're talking about, his 49 is infinitely worse than CWT's 47?

    Yes, because the common practice is to stay even after graduating. The vast majority of redshirts will graduate before their senior year when you factor in the 4 years (redshirt year and three playing seasons) plus summer school and 99% of them won't go to another program for their last year of playing eligibility.

    OU has a lengthy bus trip? Isn't Norman a relatively short ride south of OKC? WVU is about 80 miles south of Pittsburgh, I believe, that's not too bad. That's basically a drive from Tampa to Orlando. The drive to Orlando is the worst drive on Earth.

    Perhaps the emergency is that USF has been invited to the B1G and the ACC, and the B12 is afraid they will to miss out if they don't offer quickly. More likely they are monitoring this board and they read a couple of posts from yesterday where some of were having second thoughts about the B12. Just like recruits make their decisions based on what we say here.

    I completely disagree with that. If coaches pulled the plug on seniors the minute the season was lost (be it getting to a bowl, if thats your goal, or making the playoffs in 1-AA), then Willie never would have finished his senior year as soon as Harbaugh saw his team at WKU wasn't getting in.

    If its even close, CWT left Floyd out there too long and Lynch isn't going to be a 1st rounder.

    My concern is whether or not we have the personnel yet to establish that ground game. Down the road, sure. Once CWT gets the RB he's looking for, a lot of pressure is going to come off the QB. I just don't know that our backfield is going to give him the offense he wants this year.

    So whats the record at which playing seniors is a waste and you should look to next year? If you're Alabama and you lose a second game, do you dump the seniors and say we're starting work on next year's team for a national championship?
