So you guys feel BJ was always solid on the mental game, and that we won't be juggling QBs for a while this year? Penny for your thoughts, then...more than just insults would be GREAT! Hey, I love BJ, but you gotta be kidding if you feel he didn't get happy feet and make dumb passing decisions under pressure. Some of that might have been Skip's "pass first" mentality, but you can't pin all the INTs on the coach. Can't tell you how many times I saw him walking to the sideline with his head down. BJ had a lot of problems but being a leader wasn't one of them. And my opinion on why we aren't going to do a QB by committee is that CWT is our coach and he was a QB. He knows better than most that your offense isn't going anywhere if you're flipping back and forth at that position. There's a reason they say, "If you have two QBs you have no QBs."

Wally Burnham is a recruiting machine. He's always able to attract several Florida kids to that corn and cold. Nebraska seems to have done a decent job selling it over the years.

Yeah, i know .... but it's a ******** line of reasoning, too. or, Coach Taggart's message to others is, "If you're quitting to join Holtz, that's not an option. You can leave, but you can't take that path". Not sure I agree. I'd rather a guy play FOR Holtz than AGAINST us. I understand many programs that are heavy handed with letting kids out of scholarships, but I also don't like anything too punitive for a kid who just isn't going to work out for a program. No sense punishing the guy. He already has to skip a year, relocate and try to assimilate into a new school, program & location. Actions have consequences. Good life lesson. Meaning what? He signed with Holtz and Holtz got fired. If I took a job under a boss I liked and that guy got fired, not a single person would question my quitting and looking for a new job if I didn't click with the incoming boss. And they certainly wouldn't devote pages to questioning how tough I was just because I didn't click with the new guy.

Would you cry yourself to sleep each night if he got the job and beat USF every time they played? And some deny the evidence that the earth is round. IF USF loses to UCF this year, guarantee it will be considered the worse in USF history. Don't you recall the people on this board saying that CWT needs to understand that if he loses to UCF he is gone? lol You don't have those kind of emotions about in conference non-rivals, the game is 'must win or its your job'. Seem more of these actions on this board directed towards UCF than all other schools combined: I only cry when the beer runs out. That's the extent of my emotional involvement in college football. And I have no beef with Skip. He seemed like a very nice man and an average to below average football coach. He's going to be a very rich, content, man at LA Tech with a stress-free job. I could only be so lucky.

Wonder if he asked for more than six, if UCF was even bought up .... ? Per Greg @DWFreer I believe the American has continued the Big East policy against football transfers from one league school directly to another. Technically, ECU isn't a conference member yet.
