2025 would be a hell of a year to open it. Though UF and UM are away, the team should be hyped going into that year. Looks like we’ll christen it with Boise State. Give them a taste of their own medicine playing in an all-green stadium and all green uniforms.

I wonder why tf we’re bringing in two QBs with this recruiting class? TM is the foreseeable future of USF, coaches need to start focusing their attention on recruiting defense. Backup QBs can be found in the portal easily from FCS.

The fact that Mims is our top tackler and even the TDS has no idea how he ended up in our program tells you a lot about the current natural talent on defense right now (no offense to Andrew, but it's true). For all the crap that CJS gets for his recruiting it’s good to see how our top players (McClain, Mangham, etc.) directly point to him as the reason they’re here. It’s a matter of time before he builds a complete team here.

Well bringing it back to the topic of students. This is a shot of their student section from that game, even after going winless. I doubt it would look like that if the students were forced to drive 25+ minutes (aka find a DD, a grueling task as a college student), deal with 275, pay $20 for parking while knowing your team sucks, etc. - instead just walking from their dorms for a tailgate and college football game. In fact, we know the student section wouldn't look like that based on what USF's looks like at Ray Jay even when we do have a winning team. It's not like UCF's program/students are that more passionate than USF's, we're basically siblings in all aspects besides education, where we are better. Also, getting alumni back on campus is an awesome feeling and the Temple Terrace community would receive a nice economic boost on gamedays. Ray Jay for USF sucks man.

FWIW there were still 26K people at that game even though UCF was winless. These shots were taken basically when the game was lost for them. Do we honestly think we would get more than 20K at Ray Jay if we were winless for an entire year? Doubt the students would consider the drive at all, while an OCS at least gives them something to do walking distance from their dorms.

Time to put all the chips on the table. Let's where the fanbase's general gut feeling is on the future of CJS. Not "well he's sucked so far but...", no "I want to wait and see." Based on your gut feeling, what you've seen, the "culture change", etc. do you think CJS will have USF compete for a conference title while he's the HC at USF? I personally felt Strong was going to be a disaster the second we hired him and he wanted to slow down the offense and couldn't put a sentence together during his press conferences, but my gut is telling me that CJS will eventually succeed here, even though his record says otherwise. I don't know, it just feel different. So if you had to bet right now, no middle ground, do you think CJS will succeed as USF HC, yes or no?

This is a bit misleading. It was never confirmed that McClain was ever #3 instead of the back up coming in to the season. All we knew officially was that Cade was the starter. It's totally normal for a back up to come in if the starter sucks, which is what happened. In the case of giving Marsh some reps against FAMU towards the end, who cares, give the kid some reps. Now that it's confirmed that Cade sucks we for sure have a solidified #1 in TM barring injury - who, again, was most likely the back-up going into the season and now the starter.

Everyone forgets that Clemson have not always been the world beaters they are today. In fact, they came pretty **** close from firing Dabo and not to mention we beat them in a bowl game. Clemson went through a major change to become what they are today and CJS was part of that process. To say that he was ALWAYS part of a strong program (Clemson was pretty middle-of-road 7-6, 8-5 kind of team) is not true.

Florida is a football state. No one cared about the basketball team at all when I went to USF (didn't matter where they played) but we wished the football team was good. I mean even UF has trouble getting students to go to the basketball games unless they're playing Kentucky but meanwhile the Swamp is sold out for FAU. I don't think you can compare the potential excitement/desire of students wanting to go to a college basketball game than that of a college football game on campus in our state.
