Can't wait for the walk through next week... everything looks great... for once I'm actually excited for basketball season to come back around.

This confirms that Scott is a moron and I regret voting for this guy... won't make that mistake again. If Florida can only afford to fully fund 5 State Universities, then why does this jack-ass think that its a great idea to open a 12th State Univeristy? This move was purely a back-door operation of the corrupt Republican Party leadership. Love how Scott ran on the ticket of being a non-corrupt candidate that is not an establishment candidate, and then when he gets into office he does everything an establishment candidate would have done. To be fair the Democrat Party and its leadership is just as corrupt and would have done the same thing.

Regarding the OCS, I believe that getting this Indoor Practice Facilty constructed is a major step towards getting an OCS constructed sooner rather then later. Not only does it increase the amount of on-campus football facilities, but its also the 2nd to last major athletics construction project left on the "To-Do" list. the last and biggest project is the OCS. Since I'm on the topic of an OCS, in the facilities slide-show they have a section for a new football locker room... since RayJay is not giving up one of their 4 loaner rooms to USF so we can decorate it, and since the newly proposed Indoor Practice Facilty is not just for football, and is for all outdoor USF sports, this makes me think that these locker room concepts might be part of a possible OCS concept. http://www.theusfbul..._facilities.php

I think they charge you the RV rate if you have a trailer. I'm in the process of saving for a large tailgating rig, such as a school bus, ambulance, or utility van myself.

I don't know how to read Scott... he has been weak on some issues and has chosen to carry forward pointless crusades started by his ratarded predacessor... hopefully Scott vetos the split, we don't need another mouth to feed and in my opinion Scott needs to really focus on reigning in Florida's higher education mess. Scott needs to form a special committee and force the BOG and BOR back into one unified higher education board... we don't need a BOG in charge of the States Universities and then a seperate higher education board (I think its called the BOR) competing with the BOG, who is in charge of all the States Community Colleges. We are wasting BILLIONS of dollars by having Universities overlap with Community Colleges, and having both overlap with successful private colleges. Since Florida can only afford to fully fund 5 Univerities then we should only have 5 Universities (UF, FSU, USF, ??, ??)... let the Community Colleges and the successful private colleges cover the rest of the State. This is all madness...

"Done" It will be safe to go in and comfortable for graduation, but it will not be 100% complete. They will still have painting, landscaping, interior graphics, and other things to complete that are not necessary for graduation (finishing the lockerrooms, furnishing the operations office, etc) I believe there is a ribbon cutting ceremony before graduation. I think it will be 100% The ribbon cutting ceremony will be on May 1st at 4PM

Are the endzone seats retractable now? The way the pictures look, it appears that they are retractable. The reason I ask is because if they made them retractable then it might be possible to host other sporting events at the Sun Dome besides just basketball.

Love the new look, but have one issue... I don't like the "Big East" school banners, makes our team look cheap... We should only hang USF banners in the dome, while we have not won a Championship in Basketball we can have a Men's NIT Banner (with the dates), a Women's NIT Banner (with the dates), and a Men's NCAA Tournament Banner (with the dates)... not sure if the Women's Basketbulls have ever been to the NCAA T? The Bolts used to do the same thing, they would hang a pennant for every single NHL team, which in my opinion made us look like losers. Enough fans complained and the new management took them down for a while, but I have heard rumors that they have gone back up. Also did the name change to OSI from the Sun Dome?

Probably .... but then you're talking about an 8 hour drive as opposed to a 4 or 2 1/2 hour one .. Well given that gasoline well be about $4.50 or more come the return of football season it might just be cheaper to fly into Reno... take Southwest from Tampa to Reno with a minor delay in either Denver, Las Vegas, or Phoneix.

The terra cotta colors on the buildings are lame... the colors fade and look more like a maroon and then have to be repainted. Not sure why, but If they wanted it to be redish then why not have the contractors just put up red bricks which don't fade and don't need to be re-painted every 2 years.

Unfortunatly no... NHL and college rinks are 200' x 85' and the Olympic size ice rinks are 200' x 100'... Basketball Courts are a much smaller 94' x 50'. Not sure if there is a way to modify the Sun Dome to fit a ice hockey rink... I think the building would have to be torn down because the lower concrete walls would need to be knocked out and the endzone seats, both upper and lower would have to be pushed farther back. At the Forum they have retractable bleachers for basketball games.

If you work at USF for I think 40-45 years then they give this to you as a trophy with your name on it.

Skip is 13-10 with USF. he is 85-60 overall as an HC. even if we lose out, he will still not be 1) a "losing coach" at USF or 2) a "losing coach" overall. sometimes i wonder WTF you're talking about. He has a losing record as our HC as far as Big East teams go... take out the cup cake wins and the stats are completely different.

Why would UNC want a losing coach? Until Skip turns this team around he will not be attractive to any major / mid-major program... this should be the least of our worries.
