  1. Along the same line of thinking... National Big east Company Sports
  2. I like the good old fashioned... Ruck Futgers
  3. If he had gone for it and not gotten it, he would have been fried even worse. Punting was ano brainer there, especially considering the result, leaving us on our own 8 yd line, No time out, needing a touchdown. Fixed that for you. I agree punting was the right call. Calling the RB dive up the middle three times was the mistake. Fixed for you. We were on the 8 and had 0 time outs.
  4. Thanks! I think that is where we have been looking. We assumed the stadium wasn't in an great area, and so we have been looking around the middle of the city. Any thoughts on bed and breakfasts? They seem to be well located and plentiful throughout the nicer areas. Man, I after today's game I am sooooo pumped for a road trip!
  5. Anyone who can look at this game in its entirety and believe that we have a great team that is coached well is either on crack or is suffering from dementia. We are darn lucky to have a win this evening. If massive improvements aren't made in all facets, we could easily have a repeat of last season or worse. Are you that blinded with your green goggles on? If you think going into Reno and playing was going to be easy you don't know anything. This team won because they believe they should. That comes from the coach. We are 2-0 and everyone of you should know that how we play early in the season has NOTHING to do with how we finish. Keep fighting team, keep coaching Holtz, and keep winning Bulls!
  6. So if going with the wife and four year old where would be the best hotel for a good city experience. We want our son to get to see the city and would like to be close to the stadium via cab or train or bus. Would really like a nicer hotel in the$200 per night range if anyone from the area has any recommendations.
  7. Playing a team like Nevada takes discipline. Those Cali hippies don't know he first thing about it. I mean come on we all know how they are, and I mean think of some folks (one in particular) on here that live in cali.
  8. Concrete doesn't burn! Concrete does burn. At a very high heat. I wish we had the chance to try.
  9. Wow. I can't believe that some people meltdown after that game. We ran the plays that we wanted to run like it was a practice. We could have pounded the ball and scored more points. Pulled out our starting o-line and qb, but I think they needed some game time practice and got it. Our line has been moved all around, so if they needed an extra quarter or two to try to get some chemistry great, glad we got it in a game that was never in question. The good: 21 point win, well above average qb play, stifling defense. The questions: Pass protection, and communication. We will be fine, and either way, I'll do my part next week by drinking beer, and watching with high expectations. GO BULLS!
  10. My son has been coming since he was five months old. Food and drink for kids is fine if it is reasonable. No ticket needed until they are four. We are lucky enough to have club access so even when he was two we just let him run around in the club when he got restless. Unfortunately the little guy has a 105 fever today so he'll be missing his third home game in four years... Dad too.. :-(
  11. I think that having an actual local media partner in the Bay area to help sell tickets will work. I have to say 50,000+ announced. I say about 40, 000 a$$ in seats.
  12. 1) USF 2) 48-10 3) Murray 4) Landi 5) 577 USF 21 - 0 first quarter then the throttle comes up a little. Murray has 140 yards in first half Landing will excel against schools that he matches up with in speed. He will be a match up problem against lower level schools. 350 yards first half with second team getting some reps for half of second quarter and second half. GO BULLS!
  13. I'm in. I'll be looking for a beer that goes with the opponent theme each week. Consider it an official tradition shared by multiple USF fans from this point on!
  14. Very unselfish player who could have played a number of positions. I am really hoping that USF offers his brother LB Auggie Sanchez who put up fantastic numbers last year and is much bigger than Armando. Don't know why we haven't. I joke to some extent, but in all seriousness this guy had to have 75%+ of the special teams tackles when he was on the field. We missed him last year when he got hurt.
  15. I liked special teams ace Armando Sanchez! That guy was dirty-dirty!
  16. Yeah, I see how USF shouldn't possibly let 1 of 48,000 students slide through with a 2.4 instead of a 2.5 If you let one do it, what happens when 100 others try to get in with a 2.4? I really see no reason to make a single exception for an NBA caliber basketball player with a 2.4 when you only have 47,999 spots left if he takes one. So, next year we let someone in with a 2.3, then maybe a 2.0 the next year, just as long as they're talented. So a student with a 2.3 gpa from HCC is ok, but not a basketball player from palm beach cc. I agree with following defined standards, but to bend the rules for a partnership with a school and not for a student athlete is questionable. You have to admit that even your argument about standards is hard to support when local kids get in with a lower gpa than other kids. Not much of a standard anymore...
  17. Not quite! "In the state of Florida, an Associate of Arts degree (AA degree) guarantees you acceptance into a state of Florida university, but it does not guarantee acceptance into the particular university or program of your choice." Where is that quoted from? If it isn't available electronically could you look up how a student is supposed to know which school they are accepted into? Also regardless of athletics that would truly suck for the student that works their way through a two year degree only to be told the school they can attend is on the other side of state. Seems pretty shady regardless of athletics.
  18. Yeah, if you look around on the site there see lots of pics from last year. I like the one of Rocky holding a shotgun. Just seems a little weird.
  19. Anyone up for a Polk county / Lakeland area party?
  20. The coach that talked the them into joining the program used the same mouth that chose school image over insuring that a child ****** was prosecuted. They should be able to leave.
  21. I'm sorry, but those look more like Michigan unis than ND.
  22. I hope this exposure helps Rudd see that staying here was the best idea. No one who wants to get in the nba minds being front page of ncaa bball on espn.com. I hope he just keeps building his stock!
  23. I don't know about the school collapsing, but the stadium very well could at any time.
