    Replacing Merrill is no easy task. The kid that played some SS (Cerelli) as a Fr last year left the team. He was supposed to be a good glove guy.

    We'll be there tonight. Ran into a guy in a bar that is a big UNC fan and he's planning on going to all 3 games this weekend. He raved about their starting pitching. I told him our Friday night starter might not be too bad himself. As an old timer there is something about the beginning of baseball season that just brings hope. Probably stems from living up north and you knew spring was approaching. d We are going up to Gainesville for M Golf so won't make the other games. Depending on how the golf team fares tomorrow we may or may not go over to Mousetown for WBB on Sunday. If golf is in it we'll hang around. If they shoot themselves out of it after 2 rounds tomorrow we'll drive down to see the women.

    I've heard that USF wanted the game in Chicago for their alumni as well. Just booked airfare via Southwest today. Sept just opened up. About $280 RT depending on which flights.

    While it wasn't our best game, I wouldn't categorize it as dreadfully awful. We shot under 20% for 1st half and went in with a lead. Shooting was horrendous but SMU played hard and stayed with on the boards. I'm guessing if CJF isn't happy with the performance it it more about the rebounding than shooting. Edit: Those 2 - 6'6" gals really changed our shots in the lane. Don't see that kind of size often.

    I still find myself calling her L 2 on occasion. Had to go back and look at an old roster to remember that Laura Marcos Canedo was L1.

    Not nearly enough is my guess. That's why I highlighted the part that read Alumni must be ready to activate. Those of us already donating, I would assume, are considered "activated".

    Hotel reservations made for Chicago and Houston. May do Temple as well but can stay with friends up there.

    Was going through by "Bulls" folder to file away the football ticket info for this year and, at the very back, came across the sports section of the South Bend Tribune dates Sun, Sept 4, 2011. Had forgotten about DeDe Lattimore's interception and overall play in that game. What a day that was. Edit: Top headline was Irish can't weather the storm

    Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? If a 13 ranked USF team lost to an unranked G5 school we'd be out of the Top 25 or darn close.

    So Tampa has no mass transit because trains crash on occasion? Good thing there are no traffic accidents every morning in Tampa.

    Some of us remember the 0 vs Uconn. Hate to sound like Ned but she needs to do this again in a tournament. Ditto

    Not saying it is the best system in the country, but they do HAVE a system compared to what is in Tampa.

    Not sure how many make that trip 3 times a week for basketball games. Football 7 times a year, sure.

    Don't they usually name fields/courts after the person retires? I'm sure not in all cases but would guess the majority.

    I lived in So. Jersey for years and could take the High Speed Line into Phila. Can't do that from Wesley Chapel to Tampa. They actually have things called subways up there. Not saying I miss living up there but mass transit down here is non existent.

    I know we've lost a couple of golfers and at least one WBB student to our Harvard standards.

    ??????? Tampa doesn't have a transit system unless you call a couple of buses and a group of Ubers a transit system.

We were at the practice yesterday and their was a 16 - 17 team from Denmark that she had played on back in the day. Got to speak with her former coach who watches our games online any time the time difference allows. He's like a proud dad.
