  1. Snarky? Really didn't think so but being from NJ it may just come naturally. Trip is appreciating my attempts at humor. Get on the bandwagon. The Mrs is coming along. 13 months into this process and she's starting to walk around the house without a walker or cane. Uses a cane when we leave the house. Still doing therapy twice a week. Thanks for asking.
  2. Are you positive about W for the 10/5 and 10/26 games?
  3. Heard back from him. No details but said he hopes to be back in a limited capacity in another week. And no wise remarks about the limited capacity gentlemen and women.
  4. You mean better than a genie giving us 25,000 new fans? What better idea could we have?
  5. If he wasn't winning you wouldn't be hearing that. It's rare when the losing coach starts off an interview with "all praise and glory to the most high".
  6. . Well played. Although you may look a bit older than your 20s now.
  7. Since we are talking about new fans (and I'll assume we're talking non students) in addition to what we have I'd break it down like this: We're building a 35k seat stadium and already have 15k hardcore fans. Have to leave room for students (I'll go with 8k students/game) so that will leave me with 12k for football so all seats are sold out. Using similar logic I'd go with only 4,000 for MBB which gets us to ~7,500 then add in the students to fill the YC. For WBB I'd like to see 3,500 new fans. I'm good with 1,000 for MSoc, WSoc and baseball. Divide up the rest amongst the remaining teams. As for golf, you get a few parents and maybe 10 fans. We've gone and usually are walking with parents or girlfriends. Watching college golf is challenging since you have 5 or sometimes 6 players out on the course on consecutive holes. We usually pick a spot at a tee or green and watch all the players come through and then walk the course backwards until we come across the first guy again and wait for the rest. They don't get a lot of support and appreciate anyone that comes out to watch.
  8. Surrender? Me? You're picking on the wrong old guy. I stood up at the media timeouts and after big plays to cheer on our guys and was one of a few around me. Sure, someone caught a pic of people standing up. Was that at the end of the game? Was that for the Sun Dolls? Need some context. Okay, you don't really need to answer because it was a good environment. But I did note that it was more the students and 200 level people getting involved. As TallyBull said, our fans lean toward the upper end of the age scale. Especially true with WBB. There are a few who get involved but many are happy to sit and watch and give the occasional golf clap.
  9. That must have been when they announced the free oxygen tanks.
  10. There is a third guy who is injured and redshirting. Name escapes me.
  11. We all hope you are right. To get Sami back and a more consistent Blasigh along with Amy we'll just need a couple of bigs to transfer in to get some rebounds and play post D and we should be back to the USF WBB team that we're used to.
  12. This is as good a place as any to make this comment. The "regulars" (season ticket holders) offer little in the way of noise and atmosphere. Watch the SMU game again and take note of the fans in the lower section. Not a lot of them (apologies to our Mike Steuben) are loud or standing. That is our fan "base". It is when we bring the students out in number and some fans that come out because they are excited to see this team that the YC gets rocking.
  13. So do we put walk-ons in and rest everyone for the tournament?
  14. That's a really big ask. Would be great, but a big ask.
  15. I really don't have any idea. But with people being asked to pony up for NIL and an OCS it is a big ask of the few large donors we have.
  16. I would guess he'd stay another year as well but wouldn't be shocked if he bailed. No guarantee that he duplicates his success here next year which would lower is stock on the open market. This is assuming he's chasing the big paycheck and can't think of many guys that don't. They preach loyalty and "team", etc to the players but very few have any loyalty to their current school.
