    I just hope to God this doesn't end up like the football game. Get a big crowd, national audience, everyone hyped up and then get beat by 30 in a blowout. We need to at least keep this game competitive, if not win it. Everything points to this being a great game - just hope it turns out that way.

    Nice to be at a game where we weren't sweating it out all the way through. Just an observation on my part. I believe Levy needs to get a bit more of a breather in the first half. Seems like the last 2 games she's cooled off toward the end of the first half. I know there was foul trouble for Aerial and Evelein and she's our best player but an extra 2 minutes might help sandwiched around the break between quarters (or maybe around the media timeouts).

    Before the game coach announced there was some injury and they would see how she was after warmups. Didn't see any wrapping on ankles, knees, arms or hands. He didn't go into any details.

    Don't know. We walked with Fred Couples who was the nicest guy ever. The Mrs got his autograph between a green and tee. Very few people on the course so it wasn't a problem. On one hole there was a small stream and the only way to get across was inside the ropes. Fred help up the ropes and waived people over to the bridge.

    Way off topic but since we're talking about John Daly, I was on the course in Hawaii a hundred years ago when he walked off the course in the middle of a round.

    Let me just say that your writing style doesn't lead me to think things you write are your opinion. You have a tendency to state things as if they are facts. Obviously they are your opinion but it comes off as know-it-all whether you intend it to be or not. There are some things I know that are facts and try to let people know that when I do. Most of what I write is just off the cuff blathering and most people on here know that as well.

    The defense in US college WBB may be a bit better - just a guess. In shoot arounds she's practicing mid range. Don't think coach is telling her not to shoot 3s. Heck, Carla and the others were shooting 3s and I don't think coach wants her to shoot them in games. Wilson is shooting 3s at those practices and he doesn't wanting her shooting them. You are always right so no sense going round and round with you. And I'll ask again, what level coaching experience is your highest level - high school or college?

    But Lipscomb beat Dunk City the year they had their run at FGCU in one or two OTs. I was there with a friend whose grandson played for Lipscomb.

    One more time. Aarnio doesn't shoot threes in practice. Whether she made some in highlight reels doesn't mean she's making them now. I am 3 for 3 shooting three pointers at the practice center, at the Hartford center and at NC State. That doesn't mean you want to throw me on the court and count on me making one under duress.

    Just an aside on that game. The announcers for Temple may have been the best I've heard on the +. Other than mistaking a 3 by Brito as being made by Blasigh (that's happened a few times this year when people see a 5) they were professional. So give me the reason that she can't shoot a mid range jumper. Also, Blasigh shoots a lot of step back 3s to make space for herself.

    Thought the same thing. Appeared that he had a layup off the inbound pass but backed it out to run the clock.

    Amazing how this happens game after game.

    Because Blasigh was 0 for the night. Professor Bulldawg is correct. She doesn't even practice 3s. Mid range is her shot she may not be tall enough or elevate enough to get them off inside 15 feet.

    She was in for Blasigh, why wouldn't she shoot the 3's like her? Either CJF doesn't want her to, she isn't confident enough or she can't get open.
