  1. Jeebus... Bobby didn't struggle bc of the oline or wrs. Bench had a couple easy passes dropped but bad passes caught. Floyd and Eveld have been awful and bench only decent.
  2. Dudes a player, but that 40% completion is concerning. A low completion percentage is what has been killing this team.
  3. LOL Trip. Come on Bullwinkle, you're better than making an apples to oranges comparison like that. He sounds like a great athlete, but those completion percentages are awful. Then again, his team (or lack thereof) could be a reason. I think White has a chance to be special in this offense.
  4. Why does everybody think White is the future? He may be, but people are acting like he is BJ 2.0....
  5. I remember two years ago w BJ and Darrel Scott, we dropped like 500 yds on UConn @ UConn. They put up like 200 yds but they still won. It's great dominating the statistics, but I'm good w getting wins at this point.
  6. I think the problem with the first half was they were feeling out a new coach and QB. They really didn't know what to expect. After halftime, you could see adjustments and we looked noticeable better.
  7. I was a freshman in 2005 and Greg was my first Bulls source. I have read the blog everyday since and am sad to see you go Greg. Be sure to stop by here every once in a while. If you can make it to 125 on Saturday, I'd love to buy you a beer. Congrats on the new job.
  8. No it's not. Our offense isn't very good and we played one of the best defenses in college football.
  9. Look, the offense laid an egg. But it was also against the best defense this team has probably seen since UF. I hear people knocking the O-Line, but has anybody considered we basically had a 100 yd rusher today? Bobby is prob the best option right now, but he is very slow and deliberate.
  10. We have compared Holtz to Kragthorpe at UL. I think some have also thought (hoped maybe) that Taggart would be our Strong. I remember watching UL play a 1aa game and they were struggling. Stein was the QB and they finally put Teddy into the game. Poof, all of a sudden the offense is playing better- but so is the D. So much in football depends on the QB. I really believe that the life got sucked out of this team with Floyd at QB. Now I'm not saying Eveld is Teddy- don't get me wrong. My hope is that better QB play will breath some life into this team.
  11. Yeah really... A close margin of defeat or even a win just isn't similar to what happened here. Mcneese scored 30 in the second half alone. This was a disaster- plain and simple.
  12. Yeah, let's take it out on the cane fan for asking wtf is going on. It's a legit question.
  13. The original starting QB was a disaster. Same with the entire starting D.
  14. Leavitt killed a chicken at Raymond James before he was fired. The curse of Jimbo.
  15. +1 Joe. Recruiting may have 'stunk' the last couple of years, but no more so than mcneese st. Very upset...
  16. It's the curse of Jim Leavitt guys. I'm sad and sick...
  17. Joe- Apparently Floyd benefitted from extra time. How can you say Bench wouldn't?
  18. If Floyd has truly improved 'night and day', he will be more than just a serviceable QB. Floyd looked much better than Eveld in the Spring Game (fumbles aside). Bench hasn't had enough time to learn the offense.
  19. Taggart said that he doesn't want to do a round robin with the QBs. He said he'll pick one and stick with it.
  20. Who are we thinking gets the starting nod against Mcneese? I think especially with the injury to Bench, the competition is close to over. I think Floyd runs out on the field first.
