  1. I was just gonna say the same thing. I wonder what/how much legitimate intel Torello has. Like has VPMK confided in him with some details that can't be shared? Is he just shooting from the hip? I wanna know.
  2. Reading that made me curious about the viewership for each of our games. I know the bowl game was over a million, believe the Bama game was over 3 million. But I apparently lack the know-how to find the viewership for the other games. EDIT: After a little more scrolling found a few more. The Charlotte game was 17K which leads me to believe that absolutely nobody anywhere is choosing to watch Charlotte (SMU-Charlotte was 18K). UTSA was 429K. FAU was 84K. UAB was 143K. Rice was 51K. To clarify above, Bama was actually almost 5 million. Couldn't find the others.
  3. Gators was great. We spent so many Monday nights slamming cheap wings and beer during MNF. Those were great times.
  4. Listen ese, I think we all agreed we're playoff bound in 2024. Might as well start us in the top 20 and get that ball rolling
  5. Look at Mr. Moneybags over here. Why haven't you financed the stadium and bought our way into the ACC yet?
  6. The pundits refusing to include us in their top 20 to start the season next year just proves their undeniable bias against us and the rest of the G5.
  7. FTFY If there's one thing we know about you puc, it's your undying optimism and trust in this administration.
  8. Memphis made an AAU coach their head coach and he brought along the AAU/travel ball mentality. So as it is, he recruits very well, but their play as a team continues to underwhelm.
  9. We gave everybody else the blueprint to beat them. Like in Independence Day when the USA cracked the code and took down the first alien mothership and then gave the blueprint to everybody else in the world because we're the greatest and none of the other international dummies could figure it out. USA #1 A-OK
  10. If they're making that decision now with the current facilities progress and everything, I'd think they take us and UCF for starters. We have more of an investment into the department than we did the last time we were seriously considered. Combine that with the turnaround on the football field and basketball courts, and we're far more appealing now.
  11. It's us bud, we're the cheerleaders. So strap on your bloomers, grab your pom poms and get cheering
  12. Knowing the NCAA, Michigan won't see any real punishment and they'll find a way to punish Michigan State for it instead
  13. His "have a place to go" is banking on those who don't get B1G/SEC invites fleeing to the Big 12. Louisville, VaTech, and others have no appeal to B1G/SEC
  14. Did some reading up on the NC BoG business yesterday when I couldn't read the article from the Observer that was posted. Essentially if a team wants to leave their current conference they have to provide the BoG with financial impact and validate why they should be able to go where they're going. I assume some of this is to financially protect the schools like Duke/Wake/NC State that would not be moving into a B1G or SEC.
  15. We don't fit culturally, we were too quick to pull the trigger on firing xCJL. We would fit better if one of our coaches was knowingly beating the tar outta kids for a decade and we looked the other way.
  16. I'd be so down for that. Give season ticket holders a pre-sale shot at tickets or something like that if they can
  17. Rob is a USF grad isn't he? Wasn't he one of the folks people were hoping would at least get a look for AD when Harlan left? Did he ever interview for it? I don't recall
  18. I was going to reply but walked away from it because it traveled so far tangentially LOL
  19. Correct. Probably has convinced himself that FSU is yearning for a Big 12 invite to come play their vaunted rival UCF annually
  20. Anything is possible. We've already swiped a win against one of the lead contenders. Win against FAU and I'll feel more confident in it, but until that time, I'm still waiting with bated breath. Also want to add, winning any conference tourney is a longshot for a lot of teams because of the very nature of one-and-done tournaments. On any given night the shots could not fall and you're done. It's not easy, that's why you don't typically see a single team utterly dominate the conference tournament every year. Gonzaga is a rarity and even they've had plenty of years having to deal with St. Mary's and others. History is littered with teams who dominated their conference in the regular season just to get upset in their conference tournament and be left out of the Big Dance.
