  1. Planning a trip and it is unfortunate we don't have a time yet... although I understand it's a little early for an announcement (TV, etc). However, I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything, as tentative as it may be....REALLY hoping for a late kickoff. Thanks!
  2. Yeah, they'll be hungry. This could be ugly if QF doesn't complete some passes.
  3. Hey guys me and my buddy are tailgate nomads tomorrow. Mind if we stop by? If that's cool pm me location... or is civic center the spot? Need some bulls fans!
  4. Straight up football, FSU wins. No way around that. BUT... USF is no normal football program. We pull upsets... It's been a long time and we are overdue for an upset. It certainly would be a signature win for CWT and Co. What we need is crazy football and all bets are off if that happens! When CJL was around... CJL wasn't around for Clemson and Notre Dame .... We are over due for an upset win like those ... but sure if FSU will be one of those, though. True... but the 2010 season was CJL's team that Skip had not yet completely destroyed and/or dismantled... and ND was the first game of the next season. Our last flicker (?) before Skip completely destroyed the program. We've been told that CWT was handed the keys to a Corvette ... ... but on a serious note, Skip didn't destroy anything. All programs, at some point, go through down cycles ... and a prime time is following a "legend". Our problem was we didn't have a large enough core fan base to weather it. Well... agree to disagree on the destruction point, or at least who brought about the dip in the cycle... on second thought, maybe we're saying the same thing. Regardless, I agree that a large chunk of our core fan base melts down and sells their tickets when we go through that low point in the cycle.

  6. I could literally write a page of roast material based upon this. Not looking to get personal despite your attempts to do so. Sincerely hope life after football is treating you well. Yes, just continue to hide behind a computer. You do that best...although, what is personal about me pointing out facts? Have you not always been a hater? That answer is yes, yes you have, if that is somehow personal I'd like some clarification how it is.... OK, I'll bite. Hopefully the mods realize I am just replying to your questions as you requested and they don't delete this response. You see Matt, when one makes a statement about an entity such as an "athletic department" it (by virtue of said statement not being about a specific person) cannot be "personal". To the contrary, when one makes a sepcific statement about an individual, or "person", as you did in response to my initial general statement by including yourself personally, it then becomes "personal". Again my initial post was about the downfall of USF Athletics not you being overrated. To be specific about statements I made 8 years ago or so, the following is the truth: --I stated that BJ Daniels was better than you and was proven correct by the fact that he played in and won better bowl games vs. better opponents with less talent on both sides of the ball and a lousy caching staff around him. Further, he has been in the NFL and you have not 'Nuff said. --When folks maintained that you were, in fact, going to play in the NFL I took exception and I stated You were not NFL material, which you are not by virtue of you having never played for an NFL team, holds true as well. --I stated that you couldn't take USF to the next level, despite everybody telling me that you would. Ultimately you did not. Again, I was right. You can call it being a "hater". I call it being a realist (and accurate). I think someone stated that I was "butthurt" (their words not mine) or something previously on this thread. I wonder what they would call you based on your replies? Here's some advice: It may not be a great look for a former Div.1 QB to come after some random internet poster 8 years after the jact, js... Can I ask you a "sepcific" question?

  8. Not to be a wet blanket, but I've seen less from my season ticket holder group...
  9. Hot off the presses... supreme court opinion... I didn't read all of it, but it looks like instead of $10 million, it'll be around $200k. http://www.floridasupremecourt.org/decisions/2015/sc13-1872.pdf
  10. I'm cheating today looking at this thread during the game. I usually love to check these out after the game to just for a chuckle. it's great how one can find people find people p!ssed for opposite reasons regarding the same call/situation who just spew hatred. Or just chill and enjoy some football.
  11. “Honestly, it’s not all about attitude, it’s all about heart,’’ Pierre-Paul said. “You can have the attitude, you can have the swagger, you can talk, but it’s all about heart, man. If you don’t have no heart to play this game you’re going to continue losing. http://nypost.com/2014/11/06/jason-pierre-paul-attacks-giants-heart-in-frustrated-plea/
  12. Wasn't there a decent QB recruit that fell through on Tag? I recall someone committed and decommitted or something along those lines. I'm not a big recruiting guy/follower, but I bring this up to propose to all that neither Bench nor White is "Tag's guy." I think he knows that he just needs to polish this turd until he fixes the problem at QB. If it happens to be one of those guys, great... Even Tags, who I think everyone agrees is a pretty good recruiter, is not going to land a top prospect at QB with only one year under his belt following the worst seasons in USF history (thanks to the Holtz new era).
  13. The idea is to not be predictable. Could have been they might have had 8 guys in the box on that next play. You don't run the ball then. There's a lot more to football than just what you think the next best play is. RUN THAT THERE TOUCHDOWN PLAY, COACH! Wait... there's more to football than that?
  14. Is that better or worse than having your new QB actually be the same QB, who also isn't very good? Hmm...I'd have to say worse...since the new Qb was good enough to replace the old bad Qb...while still remaining bad. If that makes any sense...I have a headache Just don't ask Mike White to throw you a bottle of aspirin. I lol'd
  15. Board idea: upgraded membership entitles you to automatic filtering of any uniform color, OCS, and attendance complaint threads. What I would do for some actual football talk around here... the QB threads are some help, but not much. Logic is hard to come by on the internets.
  16. Two games with two different QBs against radically different opponents yet similar QB stats. Sounds like a push to me. This conversation is way old. Can we wait until we see some more play? Also, throwing CWT under the bus already after one season with what Holtz left? Come on. Back off the cliff and give the guy a chance.
