Let's not forget that USF also beat Big East teams BEFORE joining the Big East. UCF has yet to beat a Big East team.

It was hard work by our President and AD at the the time that enabled us to take advantages of opportunities presented... UCF HAD opportunities but decided to sit around and hope for something else. You might equate this to someone who's path is blocked by a brick wall. UCF tries to get through it by continuously walking right into it and bloodying their heads (or sitting there and thinking about how awesome they would be IF someone hadn't put the wall there)... USF walks around it and looks at you like you are a retard. You are seriously making an argument that our awesome hoops program got us in the Big East? Fate/luck/fortune doesn't divide us. Had nothing to do with it. You make your own. Another fundamental difference between us fans and why you guys get the 'IF' tag. We don't play "only ifs," we control our own destiny. Oh, we know a few good years doesn't make a great program, but if you look at CJLs all-time wins/losses, I think we're off to a great start. One more thing, prereq for being in the "big" anything (which you can actually begin to call the "big four" if you like, several media outlets have), is being in a BCS conference. You know, making it possible to play for the national championship instead of the C-DOA trophy.

I find it interesting that it would be his fault if you guys lose this weekend... At some point, shouldn't it be the players' fault? The coaches' fault? Anyway, I wish the third one of these had been saved... Funny as heck.

Really? Then how do you explain that it was the LARGEST attendance by USF Students for any game at RJS? Also, the actual crowd was the largest for any USF game at RJS (even larger than the "actual" crowd vs WVU...as the UCF game was the only one to ever have an ACTUAL crowd of over 40,000). You may not call it a rivalry game...but it was certainly the most "popular" game for USF in their RJS history. PS. The week after the UCF-USF Game in '05....USF hosted "rival" Louisville, who was ranked in the Top 10...and the actual crowd was only 29,000 plus (didn't even reach 30,000 in actual attendance). So much for "rivals" helping draw attendance. PS. Since this thread was about "attendance", I'd figured I would post some facts on attendance. KnightLight -- do you just read every thread and wait for the letters "UCF" to pop up before you respond? Why are you always on the Bulls' board? Go away.

I'm sure a lot of us are... I think you can still watch it online from ESPN, but I don't think you can "download" it and save it...

My contribution: I don't give a sh1t. I'll go, tailgate, and enjoy the games no matter what. As the program develops, students will flow naturally. A good way to jumpstart this would be winning the Big East next year! Sure some students are UF, FSU, or Miami fans... But if USF made it to a BCS game, you bet your arse the bookstore would be sold out of Bulls gear.

I agree, I think the Big East has a strong bond right now. Every other fan I talk to shows the same interest in our success--except for Rutgers, I've never gotten love from them. We're going 5-0... and CUSA is, what, 0-4? I feel the need to stop by UCF's board and ask them how the Big East is doing. Earlier this season I asked what bowl they were going to and they got all pissed at me. Can't imagine why!

And Pitt's coach was talking about our "tough conference."

Post game celebration... Fox asked the UL coach what he thought about all the naysayers that didn't want to recognize the Big East unbeaten teams as being contenders at the beginning of the season. His answer was "What's the Big East's record?" To which the analyst responded, "4-0 I believe!" Gotta love the Big East getting props on national TV in a BCS bowl.

FWIW I think this conversation is retarded. I think we'll still receive votes but not be ranked going into next season.
