  1. We tried to find you in Lot 3 last year but never did. We're still there - a group of about 20 most games. Usually 1st row about 3.5 hours before the game. And, yep, we're up in Pasco as well - Wesley Chapel. Wow... so at the last game I was probably the three tents right next to you... since it was pretty empty for a while. We were in the first row probably 4-5 cars from the end of the lot.
  2. Thanks for the support. You are correct on all counts. What hurts is (will be) putting up with them after last season.
  3. I knew from how we started our season that only the die hards would be out. That was the best part... being surrounded by all you die hard fans, getting real loud...and it was truely loud coming from such a small crowd, man I lost my voice. The players loved it, you could tell. They were raising their arms telling us to get louder, and we responded. Didn't wait for the cheerleaders to start our chants, we did it on our own. How it should be. Stayed to cheer the team into the tunnel. Great win. Great defense. Great fans there last night. Good job guys (and gals).
  4. Good news is that we're considered such a lightweight that Miami players will be smoking out before the game... that gives us a small chance to beat the spread.
  5. I guess I should've read GaUSFBull's response before I responded
  6. Glad to check back in on the thread and see mostly optimism and at least a few people who agree with me that there was some "spark" during the last game, though short lived. To me, it's not about making up my mind on CWT... and we certainly have a hole to get out of, dug for the most part by Skip. It's about being a supportive fan, which most of us are if we're hanging around the board right now... OKAY wait a second... before I respond further, I see this was your first post ever on the board? Have you been following the program for long? I generally have a no-reply policy to first posts unless it's "Hi my name is x good to be here." Kinda brutal, I know... but it filters out a lot of flamers.
  7. I can see what CWT is trying to do here... with the formations, the play calling, the (newfound) effort on defense. At one point last game, I felt that the D was truely leaving it all on the field. I literally got goosebumps because I saw a hint (a HINT) of what reminded me of the D we've been missing for years. It didn't last long, but I felt that we were starting to really click a bit on defense. Observing the offense, you can really see where CWT wants to go with the gameplan... unfortunately we just aren't in sync (on almost any level). Part of that is the QB situation (a recruiting blunder that we can't blame on CWT). Part of it is the constant rotation of quarterbacks... the receiver-quarterback connection that Davis recently mentioned... then there is the younger players we're sending in... the new playbook... But you can see where CWT wants to go and tell that, if those plays were executed properly, they would've worked. It's these things that give me hope for a few wins this season... but also keeps me grounded. We can't recover from the Holtz Era overnight. This season is truely a "rebuilding" season. I do think we'll click a little bit later, but the important thing is that we (the fans) stay cool and understand what CWT is working with. Also, praise Shaw. He's surely the brightest spot on the season so far. GO BULLS
  8. Man, I loved him at USF. I remember once in a critical game (can't remember which one, someone here will) I stated to a friend that the offense would throw a pass over the middle and Nate would pick it off. I yelled "Nate we need a pick!" right before a snap... and he came up with a pick on that very play. Probably the strangest sequence of events for me at a home game. Either he heard me and went up for it, or it was incredibly coincidental. That was the kind of D I loved. You just knew they would play their hearts out and, if we lost the game, it wasn't on the D but they died trying.
  9. I'm not worried about fans coming to games. I'm worried about supporting the team the best I can and being the best fan I can be.
  10. This guy joined 2 days ago and has one post -- clearly he's just here to troll. Probably a UCF troll.
  11. honestly I wondered if that would be factor...maybe it was
  12. Would love to see you go up to Aaron Lynch or Ryne Giddens and call him soft.Just drop back a few steps and they would never get to you Give Lynch a break. He may be a stud, but not many players can take a year off from full game speed and be dialed in. His main problem was overpursuit if anything. He seemed very wound up and too excited to maintain focus. Besides, he may not have gotten a sack, but he hit the QB a few times and had the hit of the game. I understand the ******** about Giddins. But back off of Lynch at least for now. players play regardless of how many fans are there or how many boo. That's no excuse for a college player.
  13. No need to name anyone, but whoever CWT identifies needs to sit. Rather pay lessor or undeveloped talent than talent that quits. Habitual quitters need to be cut...
  14. Ah yes... UPS just delivered them. Probably spent more shopping then they are worth. Still, appreciate they came before the game.
