    Remember how bad SMU was last year and we needed late game heroics from White to win by one. Maryland is going in to this game thinking this is a must win for them.

    We win this one. Maryland is incompetent in stopping the run. End of story. Hope you're right but I don't see it. Maryland can't stop the run when there is a threat to pass by the other team. We are not a legitmate threat to throw. We are 1 dimensional so all they have to do is stack the box and make us throw to beat them. If QF can do it we will win. I just don't see it.

    We lose this one. The Terps will not lose to Bowling Green and USF in back to back weeks. MD Game Plan - Stack the box and make QF throw to beat you...end of story.

    If we can't throw the ball with consistency downfield we will not win many games. It's plain and simple yet I don't think CWT gets it. He thinks we can just line up and run at will because we have a running QB now. Against FAMU yes but not the rest of teams on the schedule. Without the threat of the pass the run game will get stuffed.

    How do other teams find serviceable QBs and we've gone 3 years with nothing at the position. Kemp was the backup at ECU and came in after the starter got hurt and threw for over 300 yards and nearly beat the Gators in the swamp last night. Driskel's brother at FAU was the backup and looked pretty darn good against Miami. We have 5'9.5" RB masquerading as a QB that when he throws a pass you have an urge to grab your shotgun and bird dog. Any update on Woulard?????

    MD is a winnable game however we won't win because I have no faith in our offense with CWT calling plays. MD may look bad but the have recuited P5 talent and CWT doesn't know how to game plan for teams with equal or better talent.

    Sean Price seems like a nice kid and a team leader but he has been over hyped and has underperformed his entire 4 years here.

    The offense sucks. QB has a terrible throwing motion. He was able to get away with it in high school because of his ability to run. The running backs suck. We have no deep threat. Defense has improved and overall their is improvement. From a competitive standpoint of winning the conference, we aren't their yet. I would rank this team on a scale of 1-10, a 4. Agree with everything except the running backs. They're the real deal.

    agreed. If Fullwood is not going to wrap up and tackle then sit him down. He does have good ball hawking skills which is why he's back there but if you won't tackle you can't play

    Taggs has 26 games under his belt and offense is his area of expertise. I know QB play is bad but I just don't see enough improvement to be sold on him.

    I'm not quite as optimistic as others. We've had games like this before (Wisconsin & MSU) where we felt better about the rest of the season only to see a 2 and 4 win season. The defense looked better but still gave up 266 yards to Cook with a lot of shotty arm tackling. The offense is still boring and unimaginative only at a little faster pace and with Tags calling the plays. We have no threat of a passing attack to keep defenses honest. QF is no threat to pass and should not be a D1 QB. I do agree that Maryland is a tell all game. If we don't win this game it will be a long season and we will probably have a new coach.

    Most of his completions were to backs or receivers on quick screens except for the 2 TDs to Johnson. As I type, I remember he had the one 4th down completion to Price over the middle. He's going to have to learn to throw over the middle to make defenses respect the whole field or they will take away the long balls and the quick hitters. Let's hope he learns and progresses.

    The Columbia restaurant is in Ybor City and the Gonzamart family are big donors and supporters of USF athletics hence the retraction.

    We will have a tough time scheduling p5 opponents soon. We may see more games like this before too long. There is a big difference between games like this and games against non-P5 1-A teams. Hopefully we continue to limit ourselves to 1 throw away game a year. I do see the irony that Willie has made these matches competitive 2 of his 3 seasons but they aren't much more fun to watch than us getting throttled by a P5 team! I think you meant competitive 1 out of 3 of these types of games. McNease was a laugher...we were just on the wrong end.
