    I'd agree if most of the contacts the article mentioned didn't come 8ish months ago. Im sure USF made a pitch, as have several other schools, whether it's on their radar? No one definitely knows.

    If you think think having numerous schools flocking down here with camps is a problem, so be it. I do. We have a nice natural recruiting spot

    I'll say it again. Satellite camps are bad for USF, especially if 10-15 northern schools (no necessarily the powers) come running to recruiting Tampa and start inviting guys we're targeting. Will it kill recruiting? No, but losing 2-3-4 guys a year will hurt. But throw those blinders on.

    We should be happy about this. It was only a matter of time before the Indianas and UConns of the world started throwing satellite camps down here. The SEC is getting flack, but the bigger problem would have been 20-30 schools doing this in Florida each spring.

    The gap for the National Championship actually is smaller. Houston is in the discussion for next year. That probably wouldn't have happened with a team in a lower league in the 80s. Money? That's different

    Second best team in the AAC? You just looked at their record right? They've played no one. They lost to Grand Canyon. Houston is going to struggle to make the NIT, that record is the product of a soft schedule littered with low majors

    This league doesn't have the cash flow to stay strong. Fuente jumped at first chance. rhule and Herman will likely do the same. Not only is the TV money cavernous when comparing the p5 conferences to the AAC, the alumni donations are too. Cincy, UCOnn,ECU and Navy might be the only AAC schools who can claim large amounts of alumni money backing their programs

    I wish, we struggled to get 15k in the stadium in Tampa. We'll have a good contingent though.

    ET, I believe that contract was deemed satisfied 2ish years ago. There is no current contract with UF, highly doubtful that there will be. Stinks, we're likely done with games from the Big 3 for awhile

    They got a team in. Until the networks give them an extra 50 mil a year to make up the money they'll lose from expanding, they're not going to expand.

    While the media reports it one way, you don't have to be a conference champion to make the access bowl. The committee can pick a higher ranked team. A 3 loss USF team will have a really tough time, but anything is possible

    It looks like it will be St. Pete or Hawaii. Houston, Navy, Memphis, and Temple will all have priority. (1 will make the access bowl) Houston - Access Memphis - Birmingham Temple/Navy - Miami/annapolis USF/Cincy - St. Pete/Hawaii Tulsa/UConn - Boca Raton
