  1. Not to mention that they are the #1 Scoring offense in the NCAA D-1 Soccer at 3.21 goals per game & have the #2 best offensive player in the nation with Evelyn Viens scoring 17 goals so far this season. This team is stacked with a LOT of underclasswomen and will be potent for a few more years with lots of great players in the pipeline.
  2. Listening to today's press conference from CCS and hearing him talk about the youth of this team has me excited for our future season. We have a LOT of talent at most positions, and we have had a LOT of injuries to pre-season first teamers. With that being said, does anyone have a run-down of how many starts does each player have on 1st team Offense and Defense? With so many r-Fr/So and t-Freshmen starting on our team the past few weeks, it's no wonder why the teams have a few lapses in quality play. I think it shows that we have a ton of talent to be playing all these green players who would normally be inserted situationally throughout the year, and learning from the Juniors and Seniors on the team, and be managed by the team leaders. Can you imagine what next year will be like when everyone has some experience under their belt? This team is going to be a monster team when all the cogs are playing with confidence, experience, and in positions they are meant to be playing.
  3. I think its hilarious that the War Flamingo actually started in this very forum and has gained traction throughout the years to have become a tradition for some people. I think that anyone who has a problem with this should lighten up, because you see all kinds of strange traditions at EVERY sporting event and EVERY team's fans have the right to have fun and get excited about anything as long as they are rooting for their own team. Wouldn't it just be a crappy game if we all just sat in our seats and clapped and shouted "YAY" in a collective unison single inanimate "yay" for each good play the whole game? Lets let people show their individual joy for the team they love in the way they see fit. Fun = Fun
  4. Looks like if we saw less of Sawtelle, we would have lost this game!
  5. Like a few others, I have been mostly a reader these days and rarely have time or substance to contribute that hasn't already been said. Also having been around here since 2000, I have seen and been looking forward to each and every post you all write on this board. Charisbb's posts were great, and entertaining, and I (we) will miss his wit and insight. Each and everyone of you are a part of my life these days, and I wanted to thank you all for giving me hours and hours of wonderful and interesting reading each and every week. If we can all live our lives with the passion that Charlie has lived his, perhaps this world will be a lot better and more fun! Cancer and Diseases in general suck! My condolences to all of his friends and family and those he left behind when he was taken from us too soon!
  6. No one plays half hearted when they are on the field. I just hope the coaches can watch the film and make adjustments to their run defense schemes.
  7. http://www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=401019472 Gamecast online as well so you can follow the stats
  8. Yeah, seems like it was just last year... My bad.... 2 years ago... But nevertheless, she has taken over the team much Like CW did in her years here. Everyone thought it would be Laksa, but I think MJ has been more consistent in her play! As for the Level of competition, Yes we should win those games, but As you and I know. Every dog has it's day, thus any halfway decent great player can play lights out, and therefore can help a bottom feeding team beat competition much higher than them with a hot shooter or 2.
  9. To have such sloppy play and hot and cold streaks, and still come away with a win, is a testament to the determination of this team. We play lights out defense when our offense goes cold. I think K. Laksa is so frustrated with herself, but she will break out of her 3pt slump. She just needs to relax and have fun out there. Maria J., certainly is having fun out there and has taken over the team much like C. Williams did last year. You can tell Maria is having fun and working hard at the same time! I also like all the playing time our bench and freshmen are getting in these games. Getting them ready for the Big Show
  10. Please keep in mind that these players are still young, & not being paid (other than a scholarship for some of them). Having a thread that declares that one sucks or is over rated is quite inappropriate at least until they are professional and getting paid. The internet has a long memory, and can you imagine how you would feel if someone searched your REAL name and up comes a bunch of Negative, Hurtful, Rude, and Name calling articles or threads on a message board about a time where you were still a kid (yes most college students are still kids while they are in college). I think I would like to have an unwritten rule of RESPECT that you can put names in titles but no "name calling" or "sucks" or "overrated" or things with negative connotations in the titles. Do on to others!!! We are just fans, but they have to live their lives as well. We should allow them to without harassment or embarrassment. Just my 2 cents worth
  11. You have seen all the talent we get and I doubt this will do much at all to help UCF recruiting over us in the long run. Look at what all the great recruiting did for FSU and UF this year. They would be middle of the pack at best this year in the AAC and you KNOW it. Don't try to deny it, or else I call shenanigans on you.
  12. Perhaps someone can put all these top plays into 1 YouTube video if they can find the clips?
  13. As much as we all hate the outcome of the game, this will be great for the AAC as a conference. I am not saying that it would have always been great for the conference, but the night we lost to Houston, the conference had a new torch bearer for the CFP, AP, and Coaches polls. Yes, we should have won last night, and had a few opportunities to either pull further ahead or score at least score the equalizers to get us to OT, but it didn't happen. I don't live in the past. No one should live in the past. Our fate is now sealed and we have to live with what we have in front of us and not behind us. That said, UCF has the opportunity to go Undefeated and represent the AAC in the New Years 6 Bowl, and also at the highest ranking (again, now that we lost the Houston game weeks before) than either USF or Memphis would have attained had we (they) won the conference championship. Can you imagine the wrench we (AAC) are about to throw into this mess of a CFP now that ALL MEDIA and everyone on Reddit, Twitter, Yahoo, Fox, CBS, ESPN, and practically all of social media are calling Last night's game the BEST COLLEGE GAME OF THE YEAR!? After the fact (Still I hate that we lost because most of my local friends are Gnats Alum or fans), I am going to love the chaos that will come of the CFP not even looking at UCF for a spot in the playoffs, even more so because of Miami losing handily to PITT?!?!?!?! There will also be other upsets on the horizon this and in Conference Championships. What a great time to have the CFP fall into disarray and anarchy!!!
  14. Now that Football is done until the Bowl Game (whatever it may be) I hope that the rest of the Bulls Pen gets on board with Women's BB. So much talent, and so much fun to watch. We have a great team and if you can't get behind them because you think Women's BB is boring, then you are just another loser who really doesn't support USF. These ladies put their ALL out on the court each and every night, and deserve to be supported by ALL USF students, Alumni, and fans. This team will ONLY get better.
  15. I think if Mike can get the AAC into the P6, he deserves to have a HUGE pay raise!
  16. AAC Commissioner Mike Aresco Has Seen Enough, Unloads on Kirby Hocutt & CFB Playoff Committee As bad as everyone harps on our conference, we do have one of the most intelligent and hard working Conference leaders in Mike Aresco. He has been the loudest voice in calling for being included into the P5 (P6). Here he is in an interview that was posted on a UCONN board: http://thisisuconncountry.com/2017/11/mike-aresco-has-seen-enough/ I would love to be a fly on the wall when he gets to talk to the CFP Committee and Chair Kirby Hocutt. I just wish I could know how in their right mind anyone from the CFP could rationale not including us into the Power conferences, or at least expanding the playoff system to allow the conference Champions to play them and then add a few slots for 2 or 3 at large teams. Very Interesting Read!
  17. Is anyone else ALSO excited for WBB season to start? Yes, our football team is definitely an excitement, and we have so many other quality teams such as Baseball, Softball, Golf team, Men's Tennis team. Seriously though, who isn't excited about our WBB team with all the great personalities, and a great top notch coach, and the expectation that we possibly have the best team we have ever had even though C.Williams is not on this team! I think our WBB team will be a perennial contender at this point, and I dare to say that CJF will be a mainstay at USF unless perhaps UCONN comes knocking when Coach Geno decides to retire (they are good friends and mutual admirers). This team has so many upsides if everyone remains healthy. I know some people refuse to watch or get excited about WBB, but I think if they gave College WBB a chance especially with teams as good as ours, they would find that they are pretty exciting and also play a very fast paced game. Only 9 days left until the fun begins!!! Go Bulls!!!!!!!!!!
  18. What Lots do you think will be good for Tailgating and parking around 11:30/12 Does the traffic naturally direct you into the next available lot or is it when you drive in from a certain direction they corral you into the closest lot until it fills up? What are your suggestions on which lot for a good tailgate experience? I assume all lots are $20 Cash per car?
  19. Marinating plenty of Wings, Chicken Legs, and will have Burgers as well! Who wants to join our Tailgate or invite us to add to theirs? Should be in the Lot sometime around Noon! Don't want to be caught outside the stadium after kickoff!
  20. Where can I purchase the official USF clear bags that can be brought into the stadium. I personally don't drink anything but water, so what would be my best bet on making sure I'm Hydrated.... just buy water bottles inside the stadium, or can I bring my own arctic cup and just get ice and water there?
  21. Ok, so the game is 3:45pm on Oct, 28. What times to the lots open? Where would I have to purchase the Lot parking passes? How much should we expect to pay for a pickup truck to park in one of the Lots? Anyone interested in allowing us (4) to join their Tailgate? We will be bringing assorted libations and bbq goodies (to be cooked there) for the full tailgate experience!!! Thanks
  22. I think he looks like The Muppet's Beaker, so I would caption it by saying "Meap Meap Meap Meap Meap Meap"
