  1. Its exciting to see all these faces coming to USF and will start out the season playing for "our side" The one thing that always makes me nervous is that I hope they all end the season on the team and in good health. We all know how bad the SD floor is with the "parkay curse", and the after hours shenanagans. Lets just hope we end the season with as many as we started.
  2. Yeah it has been a rough Winter. I think we skipped Spring and went straight to WET SUMMER. Working on a HUGE project right now that has been keeping me oh so busy all the time, however I always have time to make my daily visits to the board. (and click on the banner to give Brad some help). I promise that unless I am being dragged down by this project, I will be in the chat rooms this comming seasons (FB & BB). Go Bulls!
  3. Anyone know how J.R. is getting along? ???
  4. Lets keep the board on the civil non testasterone side. I mean these girls are somebody's daughter or sister. But yeah they are Defintely giving USF a good name. :
  5. Swimming to me is the most obvious choice. In case anyone didn't know, we did have a swimming team before and we have won the National Championship in swimming. If not as a team, then in Idividual events, as were doccumented in the indoor swimming pool years ago (1989-95)
  6. Congrats NAM and E.T. May your house holds be filled with healthy baby noises soon.
  7. The good 'Ole days. Brings a tear to my eye!!!
  8. When I lived at Fontana Hall, I used to Live on the Greenery's Wings. What an awesome place to hang out and enjoy watching sports on the TV. I hope they bring the same commitment to the students to their on-campus venture.
  9. > I understand that this was the end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and that Women's basketball has never been as popular as Men's basketball, or any Men's sport for that matter, but to see a Championship game at home attended by only 242 people is pretty pathetic in my eyes. I used to go to quite a few women's basketball games when I was there, and the teams that I watched sucked. To have a team as good as our women's team (this year) without support means to me that the school isn't hyping them up properly. That's my 2cents worth :-[
  10. For those who are either out of town or just can't get to the game tonight, The Bulls Chat room will be open tonight for the game chat vs Army. As always, be courteous, and don't go overboard. http://www.southfloridabulls.com/Community/BullChat!%20Chat%20Room.htm See you there ;D ;D ;D
  11. Yeah, Toronto isnt' that bad by plane. By car it's like 12 hours.
  12. I wish nothing but continuing success for J.R. Reed in his NFL pursuits from year to year and have no doubts that if he continues to show his abilities on special teams, he will be as feared as Dante Hall was last year. HOWEVER. How long do you think he will be satisfied with only playing on special teams? Do you think the Eagles will give him a legitimate shot to compete after this year at his regular position? Anthony Henry had to pay his dues for the Browns and look how successful he is now being one of the starrs of that defense. ANT could probably start on 95% of the other teams in this league. Do you see J.R. Reed voicing some concerns in the near future if they don't give him a shot to prove himself on Defense? In all reality, return men in the NFL usually don't last too many years. Currently he is 2nd team free safty behind Brian Dawkins. Now Dawkins is an excellent Free Safety, but he is getting up there in years (8 years experience). So do the Eagles decide to secure for the future and give Reed a legitimate shot at it?
  13. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Two runs in the bottom of the first inning was all pitcher Ani Nyhus of 12th-ranked Oregon needed to get her team to the championship game of the NCAA Division I Softball Region 4 Tournament as the Ducks defeated South Florida for the second time in as many days 2-1 Saturday at the Seminole Softball Complex. The victory improved Oregon's record to 41-20, but more importantly, set up a rematch with regional host Florida State in the championship game at 1 p.m. Sunday. South Florida ended the year at 60-14. In the first game of action Saturday, the Seminoles won a four and a half hour marathon 5-4 over the Ducks in 12 innings. First baseman Beth Boskovich started the bottom of the first with a single, then one out later moved up to second on another single from Ashley Richards. The only two runs of the game for Oregon came across the plate when the next batter, catcher Jenn Poore, doubled to centerfield to score Boskovich and Richards. USF didn't get a hit off Nyhus until the third inning-a single by Samantha Ray-and didn't put a runner into scoring position until the fifth. Third baseman Krista Holle picked up a walk in the fifth and pinch runner Nicole Christensen moved up to second on a passed ball on a dropped third strike. Nyhus improved to 22-12 with the complete game victory. The junior posted nine strikeouts and surrendered just one walk. USF's Leigh Ann Ellis gave up just three hits after the first inning, but the two runs she did surrender saddled her with the loss as she ended the year with an impressive 43-8 record. The Bulls had the go-ahead run in scoring position with two outs in the seventh inning but couldn't get the runner across. After a walk and a single, USF put runners on second and third on a sacrifice bunt. Pinch runner Alycia LePage beat the throw home to pull USF within a run. A groundout put runners on second and third again, but this time Nyhus got Holle to ground out right back to the mound and end the game.
