  1. Don't hang your heads in shame.  Don't hide behind books when someone mentions USF football, basketball, or another sport.  Certainly don't disappear after a USF loss in football.  Put away your "Coach Wanted", "QB Needed", and "Wait till Next Year" posters. Most of us are USF alumni, or have a child that goes or went to USF.  We are the true fans of our athletic teams.  We are there through thick and thin.  We support them through every win and yes every loss.  I am not going to stop predicting a win each week (after that lapse in judgement called "Louisville Prediction Contest").  If we can't be confident to others and say, "We are going to win this game" then how can we expect our players to go into the game with the notion that they could pull the upset?  I know many players and coaches probably DO visit these boards.  Perhaps even some recruits.  If we don't stand behind our school, players, and coaches what kind of signal are we sending them?  We are a growing program and National Championsips are not handed to us just because we the fans expect it.  Our players have to work hard.  If that means that they lose a few games but try as hard as they can, then so be it.  Their work effort will pay off some games.  They will pull the upset sometimes.  That will inturn sway better and better recruits to join our family.  THAT builds Championships. So when a Miami fan or a Louisville fan or a USC fan comes here to tell us that our team has no chance, we must hold our heads up high and tell them that this is USF.  We may not go undefeated, but we WILL win!!!  And if we don't happen to win, and they come back to gloat I will simply say, Good Game, great effort, but Wait till we play you next time, because we WILL WIN!!!
  2. From ESPN.com: Surging Miami tries to avoid upset bid by South Florida South Florida (3-1) at No. 9 Miami Fl (2-1), 8:00 pm EDT MIAMI (Ticker) -- Ninth-ranked Miami attempts to avoid becoming South Florida's second straight upset victim when the intrastate foes meet in a non-conference matchup on Saturday. Last week, the Bulls (3-1) stunned then-No. 9 Louisville, 45-14, in arguably the biggest upset of the college football season thus far. Wide receiver Amarri Jackson ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, all on reverses, for the Bulls, who concluded a 3-0 homestand after a 23-13 season-opening loss at Penn State. Chad Simpson returned the second-half kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown to open a 31-7 advantage in the first Big East Conference contest for both teams. Former Big East member Miami (2-1) has bounced back from a season-opening loss at Florida State with a triple-overtime win at Clemson and a 23-3 triumph over Colorado last week. Kyle Wright passed for a career-high 264 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score for the Hurricanes, who blanked the Buffaloes for the first three quarters. Sinorice Moss had five catches for 111 yards, including a 53-yard TD. Miami has been ranked in a national-best 93 consecutive media polls dating to December 4, 1999. Michigan had been ranked in every poll since 1998 before falling out this week. The schools will be meeting for the first time. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=252742390&confId=10
  3. Sweet: Front Page, Top story ESPN College Football Homepage. Gotta Love the Love finally. I can't even remember the last time ESPN ran a story about USF on the College Football homepage. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/index
  4. He has an impressive Math Background and Resumee, so who knows.
  5. Not sure even who he is. All I know is that I did a search on greatest upsets of 2005 and I found his site. We are ranked at #20 with Louisville falling back to #47. Strange but that's how this guy sees it. http://www.marsee.net/fb.html
  6. My opinion (which doesn't count for a whole hill a beans) is that you should tell him that he has more supporters than detractors here.  he is well appreciated by those who count, and should come back soon.  Of course he should also develope a serious case of "elephant skin" too so that things won't bother him when someone or a few someones have a difference of opinions. ;D
  7. USF 28-24 320 A. Jackson Ok, so I made a HUGE mistake underrating our team last week. Can you blame me? Yes, ok you can. From now on, I will most certainly speak my heart and my mind and will never never ever ever never ever pick my bullovid bulls to lose. Bulls will crack into the top 25 after this win.
  8. Don't forget that there are plenty of Alum that come from that area, and I know some of my Fartnerity brothers (Alum) have been chattering about going to the game as it is in their back yard. I would expect another 500 or so in just local USF alum to show up on game day.
  9. I owe you two a few rounds if we ever meet up during a SFB.com function, or a future Football game.
  10. I am going to be on the road and out of any kind of earshot for the game vs Louisville.  Gotta pick up my wife at the airport 2 hours away.  I would appreciate it if someone were to be able to text me the scores as well as the BIG plays that we make (not interested in Lvlle)  Things like BIG Andre or Ponton runs, or Huge PJ passes.  Ints, Fumb, things like that.  Let me know and I will send you my cell #.  I will paypal you if it costs anything.  (I am in Canada but on AT&T network). 8) Appreciate it. I will miss you all in the chat room.....light a candle for me and have a beer.
  11. This bears repeating as it might get lost in all the Football Hype!!!
  12. The Men's Soccer Bulls finally showed what kind of team they are this year. They just beat 2 Nationally Ranked teams in a row. #16 Seaton Hall and #21 Georgetown. Lets hope that they continue their winning ways. ;D http://gobulls.usf.edu/Sports/main.asp
  13. Louisville (but my heart says USF) 20-14 335 A. Jackson Now for my heart, I would reverse the score and USF wins 21-14 (no way our special teams can hit a fieldgoal from outside 30 yards so we go for it anywhere near).
  14. Not sure if this will work, but I am here in solidarity with you all. (attempt at putting the jpg in the signature)
  15. The Canadian Contingency can. Of course it will be an International text (Don't worry about that we get lots of free texting to the US) so you will have to translate from Canadian to English. ;D What sort of updates do you want and how often? Also you can send me your Cell #...Send it to my inbox on this board if you don't feel comfortable putting it here.
  16. USFPDiddy, I feel like you were the next contestant on The Price is right. ;D
  17. Awesome journal of the game!! For the UCF game dont forget to increase the shutter speed. Can't wait to see the next set. Makes me feel like I was back in Tampa and not in CANADA!!!!!
  18. USF 27-17 374 Yards Peyton Hall with 140+ yards if he's healthy
  19. ET, Our hopes and prayers are with your family all the way from Canada.
  20. You can't forget that Brenner has 8 shutouts and 6 of them from last year. No matter what happends on the field, you have to respect that Brenner was the starter last year, and Hall must not have impressed the coaches enough to warrant the change in depth chart in the practices. Now if we start to see a major increas in his GAA then perhaps you change, but his early in the season, you just got to hope that they work the kinks out. Not to mention that Brenner was an outstanding HS player who's credentials seemed to be a little better than Hall. So he earned the starting spot, you might as well see if he wants to keep it. Hall has 3 more years to earn his way to being a starter.
  21. You know this Canadian Contingency will be there...
  22. I agree about the assett. Howie has been an integral part of this board for a long time and I hope that the personal attacks will soon die down. Remember....High School is over folks. Time to stop being children and let people rant if they want to rant. Free Speech. It means the freedom to talk to the radio show host any way you want without making threats. Come back Howie !!!!
  23. Best wishes for you and your family Terry. Us Canadian Bulls are pullin for ya.
  24. Will see you all in the chat room so I can gloat after my week 1 win!!! 1) USF 2) 21-17 3) 459 (200+ on the ground) 4) A. Jackson Watch the Hall begin his case for a Heisman Trophy and a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft, and watch Denson solidify his case as the leader of this offense.
