  1. The regular season scoring title. She scored 22 in her last game and was tied for first with a 22.4 ppg with LSU's Seimone Augustus. While Jessica will have scored 15 more points  (648) over the season than Seimone (633), Augustus played in 1 fewer game and scorred 27 in her final game to put her ahead in the ppg category. Dickson will finish out with 22.34 ppg Augustus will finish out with a 22.6 ppg Still Dickson is #1 in our book.  Hope she tears apart the tournament.
  2. Mike Would your use of the word "angel" be in a religous or spiritual sense, or were you using it metaphorically?
  3. I have just completed posting the Business Plan. It can be found at: http://www.unbi.org/TropicsBusinessPlan.pdf and is 49.2MB large so it may take a bit to show up. If you need to have it in 2 parts, they are at: http://www.unbi.org/TropicsBP1.pdf http://www.unbi.org/TropicsBP2.pdf If you are just wanting a 5 year investment, you can find the info at: http://www.unbi.org/TropicsShareHoldersLegal.pdf If you would like to see the Proposed Food and Drink Menu's you can find them at: http://www.unbi.org/TropicsDrinks.pdf http://www.unbi.org/TropicsMenu.pdf Thanks for taking an interest in a fellow Alum & Board Member's ideas. ;D
  4. Not swamp land nor beach front property.  More like ledge on the Main Artery in town.  The land used to be a trailor park before Walmart bought out the place and relocated the residents down the road to a residential area.  The Walmart is supposed to bring in 7500 cars per day, and so far hasn't disappointed.  It has been wall to wall people since they opened.  We have the only movie theater within 50 miles and is within walking distance of our restaurant (3 theaters, stadium seating, always busy).  We have a new 64 room upscale hotel accross the road (Best Western) with NO lounge or restaurant.  There are plans for another Hotel in the same plaza as us supposed to begin construction at the end of this year also with no restaurant or lounge. In the summer the town's population (10K people) more than doubles for summer festivities around here (Old Home Week). Local towns here all have summer festivities different weeks during the summer, but most of the hotels are located in Woodstock. The Local US border town (Houlton 10 min away on I-95) has no sit down restaurant and residents must drive 45 min to Presque Isles if they want to eat at a non-Pizza Hut/non-Chinese/non-KFC.  With the Canadian Dollar as positioned against the US Dollar, most US border people come to Woodstock to shop so they would come to Woodstock to eat and see a movie (Houlton has no theater and is 20-25K population).  Within 50 mile radius, we have access to over 90K people including the US. Woodstock is growing at an enormous rate and is the capital city of the County.  Woodstock is the fastest growing city in the Province and one of the fastest growing cities in Canada (thanks to the Highway improvements in Canada and the US). We would be the fist non-home cooking/non-pizza/non-chinese/non-truckstop restaurant in town and the only one with a lounge where you can get a beer as well as a martini, smoothie, or mixed drink (great for the yuppy/after work crowd).  Buzz around town has skyrocketed about our restaurant without us doing one bit of advertising except for word of mouth and anticipation. Links will follow in my next post once I get to a scanner
  5. Where is Woodstock New Brunswick, Canada. Location is an outparcel in a WalMart Shopping plaza in which the WalMart just opened its doors a week ago.  We would be the second building in the plaza (Strip Mall) More Detailed Location would be just off the #1 Major Highway in Canada (Route 2) that goes east west from coast to coast.  .25 miles from the end of I-95 that goes all the way down to Florida.  The plaza is on the corner of Route 2 and Connel Road (the main road entering Woodstock).  Any cars that come to the Walmart MUST actually drive by our restaurant.  A detailed map of the area and exact location can be supplied upon request. We ARE considering the partnership idea however the most we are willing to allow for a partner is 30% which would be if you were to invest $250K CDN or 24% for 200K CDN.  The total start up for the restaurant to open the doors is $828K.  We have already secured the funds for the balance of the start up. The name of the Restaurant is Tropic's Bar & Grill, and the theme will be of a topical nature.  (Think Rainforest Cafe minus the animatronics, annoying noises, and add a little more class while still maintaining a family friendly atmosphere.)  The food will be along the same style of the TGiF, Cheesecake Factory, Chili's, Bennigan's, but a little better tasting I'm sure.  It will have a full service Lounge that will compliment the dining room. Since this has generated some interest, if you IM me, I will provide a link for you to the business plan, which includes cost breakdown, cashflow, detaile descriptions, competition analysis, market studies, and map/pictures of the location for you to look at (it will be a pdf).
  6. If anyone knows of a venture Capitalist who would like to invest in a restaurant and almost double their $ in 5 years. Let me know. Mrs. Bullumni and I are offering a 95% return on your investment (We are looking for $200,000 CDN or appx $172,000 USD). Investment is on the up and up with all the documentation and business plans and everything. Let me know if you want more info. And YES the lounge area will have a USF Bulls Logo or two!!! ;D
  7. Grizzlies Sign Guard Chucky Atkins By Associated Press Posted January 23 2006, 4:18 PM EST MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Looking for help in the backcourt since Damon Stoudamire injured his knee late last month, the Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Chucky Atkins on Monday. Atkins joined the Grizzlies in Miami where they play the Heat on Tuesday night. The seven-year veteran was averaging 6.7 points and 2.5 assists with the Washington Wizards before they agreed to a buyout of his $4.5 million contract last week. He wanted more playing time in Washington. Atkins will help take pressure off Bobby Jackson, who is averaging 26.1 minutes per game and played a season-high 42 minutes in a loss at Philadelphia last week. "Chucky is a veteran point guard, and he fills our need for an added leader in the backcourt," said Jerry West, the Grizzlies' director of basketball operations. "He will be a great addition to our team, and we are happy he was available and eager to come to Memphis." Atkins started a career-high 82 games last season for the Los Angeles Lakers, setting career highs with 13.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 35.4 minutes per game. Stoudamire had season-ending knee surgery earlier this month.  http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/basketball/heat/sns-ap-bkn-grizzlies-atkins,0,6762265.story?coll=sns-ap-basketball-headlines Looks like it was a short lived unemployment for Chuky.  I'm sure he will have a much better time in Memphis than he did in Washington.
  8. I'm not one for Cencership, but I think this post has outlived its entertainment & informative values. Time to file it away, lock it, and let it die. All In favour?
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2297040 Wizards, Atkins agree to contract buyoutAssociated Press WASHINGTON -- Chucky Atkins and the Washington Wizards agreed Wednesday to a buyout of the veteran guard's contract. Chucky Atkins Point Guard Washington Wizards Profile 2006 SEASON STATISTICS GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% 28 6.7 1.6 2.5 37.931 70.968 Atkins, who didn't appear in Washington's past five games, said he wanted to play more minutes because he's in the final year of his contract. "He has been a real professional and this will allow him an opportunity to look for a situation that will give him the playing time that he desires," Wizards president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld said. Atkins, acquired during the offseason in the trade that sent Kwame Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers, was due to make $4.5 million this season. He started two games for the Wizards this season, averaging 6.7 points and 2.5 assists in just under 20 minutes per game. His playing time varied wildly in Washington, ranging from fewer than 10 minutes in some games to as many as 45. He recently missed four games to be with his wife while she gave birth. He was inactive when he returned for Monday's game against Philadelphia.
  10. Wow! I didnt know I had the honor of being in the top 10. Even though I don't post much, I am here nearly every day reading and soaking things in. Proud to be a LONG TIME member of the best board on the internet.
  11. I have a suggestion for our Honorable and Intelligent mods for this board. Find the posts of the Photo Diaries of the bowl games and pin them up at the top for a few weeks so we can all enjoy them (especailly those who were not able to go but still financially donated to the cause of some poor student to be able to go). Just a suggestion
  12. Looks like our favorite journeyman NBA player might be on the move once again... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/03/AR2006010301769.html Atkins Mentioned In Trade Rumors By Ivan Carter Washington Post Staff Writer Wednesday, January 4, 2006; Page E05 'Tis the season for trade rumors, and the name of Wizards guard Chucky Atkins has been floated in recent days. The Memphis Grizzlies are in the market for a veteran point guard after Damon Stoudamire suffered a season-ending knee injury, and Atkins, who is in the final year of a contract that is paying him $4.5 million this season, would fit the bill. According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Grizzlies executive Jerry West has been working the phones looking for a Stoudamire replacement, and Atkins would be a logical candidate. He expressed displeasure with his role early in the season and has seen his playing time increase since Jarvis Hayes fractured his right patella. Hayes will be out at least six weeks, leaving the Wizards with a guard rotation of Gilbert Arenas, Jared Jeffries, Antonio Daniels and Atkins. As policy, Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld does not respond to trade rumors, saying only, "I'm always looking to improve the team." Atkins offered a "no comment" yesterday. The trade deadline is Feb. 23.
  13. RJW Im here with ya all the way. ESPN2 is non existant in Canada, so I will be listening to the game on the internet (if its even on the internet.) So Im feeling rejected along with you.
  14. I was down visiting Disney World for a week (returned the 24th) and had a wonderfull time. I actually was suprised to see that in Downtown Disney Marketplace I found a USF BULLS football helmet (Not full size) on display there in one of the shops. I had to snap it up. How Awesome that the million or so guests per few days that Disney gets will be seeing our logo and merchandise when they go there. ;D
  15. Happy Chanukah!!! ;D Merry Christmas!!! And have a Happy New Year!!!
  16. Computer Manufacturer/systems/network administrator (Got a degree in Poly Sci go figure) From May2006 & on (if all goes well) also will be Restauranteur with wife in a 150 seat restaurant here in Woodstock NB (Tropic's Bar & Grill)
  17. Grats Katie!!! ;D Want to hear Tragedy? I don't get ESPN2 here in Canada, and I can't travel because my wife and I are opening a 150 Seat Restaurant in May and we have millions of meetings, and things to do over Christmas break to ensure that it will be built and ready to open in time (hard to build in the snow). No sports bars or Restaurants around here carry EXPN2, so I will most likely be at home trying to listen to the webcast online. Now that's what I call Tragedy > Its times like these I wish I was back in Florida, or at least in a populated area that carries some semblence of ESPN2 or a REAL sports channel (I HATE hockey).
  18. I just checked my PayPal account and it will afford me to donate $20. For me it will be as if I was going myself. So make sure it is a democratic and fair process with which you sponser one or even 2 students (If you raise enough $).
  19. Coach Paschal and Chucky Atkins certainly are 2 class acts that I am proud to have seen in my years at USF.
  20. NC State's Message board up in the menu area with the other schools. Maybe put it in larger font seeing that it's a bowl game. ;D
  21. Sort of back on the subject.... Why wouldn't Chad Barnhardt want to get into the position of QB coach? I mean he was a pretty decent QB for us. Knows the system. Anyone?
  22. Systems admin/Computer Manufacturer/Husband Soon to add Restaurant Owner to the repetoir.
  23. Brad: When I gradiated and moved back to Ft. Laud, I found the USF coverage to be soo poor, that I could count on the local paper to go out of the way to NOT print anything at all about USF. A random search on the internet (Pre Google) led me to this interesting yet buzzing site. I decided to join. I think I have visited your site more often than I visit the toilet, refrigerator, and bed combined. Yours is the only site I trust to get my fill-o-bulls. Keep up the good work and When our restaurant is a rockin (we open in May) you will certainly wreep the benefits.
  24. Basketball will always have the larger portion of my heart. From the days of talking with Radenko Dobras, Gary Alexander, Shahid, Russel, Sharp, and all the old time (89-90's) Bulls. They have given me many of fond memories of College. Sitting under the basket practically on the floor with Death Row (New when I went) and Zoo Crew. Passing out the Posters to make the opponants miss their free throws. Having the PG of the other team moon me because I was screaming practially in his ear. Passing Rocky over our heads up the section all the way to the top section of the Dome. Tailgating at the Student Entrance to get tickets and to get in for the games. Ahhhhh the fond memories. USF Football is awesome but USF Basketball is a way of life!!!
  25. Lets say we continue playing with the walking wounded. How many walk ons are we allowed on the team that are not scholarship players to help band aid the scholarship players that are injured?
