    I think since we are a bubble at large NCAAT team right now this is truly a must win game. Lose it and any hope of being an at large disappears. I still firmly believe that if we win our 3 remaining regular season games that we are a probable at large team in case we don't win the tournament. Ranked at large teams usually make it to the tournament. I wonder what the exact percentage is since I couldn't find that number

    I always think its funny when fans pray for their sport teams to win. Its like if their is a God that he (or she) wouldn't have anything better to do than to keep tally as to which fan base puts in the most or most sincere prayers.

    The remaining ACC Big 12 members merging would be our worst case scenario. Don't think it would happen though since if the ACC implodes, The Big 12 will have a leg up since it has more teams, and wouldn't want teams like Boston College, CAL, SMU, Syracuse, and Wake Forrest. Pitt, North Carolina State, and Louisville I can see. It will all depend as to how many teams the ACC loses; it cant be a mass exodus for them .However, I do believe the ACC is likely to remain in some form, and I think they will look at USF, Tulane, Memphis, Boise State, and San Diego State to replenish. The part where they believe that Miami will be a main target is great for us since I assume the ACC will want a Florida team.

    Wins against number 6 Arizona and number 13 Illinois, plus a win against a than ranked Texas A and M, plus starting the season ranked because of their final four last year is why I think it makes sense as to why FAU is ahead of us both in the NET and as to how they have been regarded by human polls. I feel very confident that we can make the NCAAT this year but when it comes to next year it will be helpful to us to perhaps start the season ranked or close to, and maybe we can as well have a better OOC schedule. If we don't make the tournament this year it will be largely because we failed to impress this season in our OOC schedule

    I don't know it just sounds as someone who is coaching a 19-8 , 9-7 ACC team, who is looking like they might not make it to the NCAAT, making excuses. Teams that are not included in the final 68 usually have themselves to blame and it comes down to a loss here or there.

    Yea, I think at the very least a regular season champion should get homecourt advantage throughout the tournament.

    I think winning will be an important variable. Our re emergence couldn't come at a better time. Next seasons we need to keep winning in both football and basketball.

    I am one of those that criticized the hire at the time. Its always feels good to end up being wrong when it comes to these things. All of us on this board only wants success when it comes to USF athletics. We have been patient and waiting a long time and it seems like everything is slowly falling into place; in football, basketball, and the OCS.

    He deserves a big fat raise, and an extension. Make him the highest paid basketball coach in USF history.

    Stay a top 25 team, and maybe go up a few spots before AAC tournament, and than I think we will be. Even if we lose a game in the AAC tournament I still think we would be included, unless we lose in a blowout. We have beaten all the teams below us except a close loss to UAB on the road. 68 teams make it. We have two wins against ranked teams.

    Yes, an at large is now more likely now that we are ranked. I think we can now afford to lose a game in the tournament provided we win these last 3 regular season games. That said lets just win the AAC tournament to make it 100 percent

    Make Coach Rahim and Golesh the highest paid coaches in USF history and the AAC. Having top quality coaches is as important as having an OCS, so USF shouldn't be shy to fork up a lot of money to keep them here for as long as possible.

    My guess would be 24. There are two polls. In the coaches poll last week we were 29th. Very little doubt that at the verry least we will be ranked in that poll. I think if we go in the AAC tournament ranked we have a good shot at an at large bid if we don't win the tournament. All this will make watching non USF games so much more interesting since will have to root for schools ahead of us, or right behind us to lose.

    I know that I will be checking ESPN's website tomorrow every ten minutes in order to witness our first ranking. No doubt we will be ranked when you look at all those teams just ahead of us losing,

    I disagree. We want FAU to come in second in the conference, while we come in first. Want to avoid FAU until the final.

    Will we be ranked tomorrow? I think we come in around 24.

    Yes, either way it doesn't matter as to who out maneuvers whom, when the dust settles USF will be in a good position.

    There is no doubt that that is what ACC teams would prefer, but who is to say what will happen when fellow ACC teams see FSU, Clemson, North Carolina,.. be picked up by the Big 10 and the SEC. I think the Big 12 at that point will be in a better position, and the remaining ACC teams will be fidgety and ready to jump on a best case scenario, much as an average looking highschooler who doesn't have a date the night before Prom would. If the ACC wants to out maneuver the Big 12 they should try to strike fast and see if they can get a Cincy and/ or West Virginia to jump ship.

    More reason to hope that we get into a better conference. It all depends on what side of the fence one is. When we were in the Big East, and made it to the tournament with 13 losses no one complained. If in a few years when we are in the ACC, and 7 teams make it to the tournament and we get in as the 7th team no one will complain.

    I think our first top 25 ranking will be on the line this weekend. Beat SMU, and I think as long as we don't lose more than one game we can be an at large in case things don't work out in the AAC tournament.

    We will remember it. It will be like caviar on top of some first rate tuna sashimi ( I am not a big icing on a cake guy). And i think we might get a bonus point or two at least when it comes to the human factor in the NCAAT selection process. Being first in a conference that includes Memphis, SMU, FAU is impressive, especially if we can beat SMU as well.

    Actually the way i see it, we want FAU to win since right now we are favorite to get the number one seed, and we want to avoid FAU until the final so we want them to get the number two seed.

    Don't want to take anything away from 2018-2019, but we went 8-10 in conference that year. Our CBI final against Depaul alone consisted of 3 additional games. A great year regardless, but 2018-2019 was nothing compared to what this team is accomplishing this year. Hopefully we can finish strong, and this year will be one for our record books
