    Probably comes down to their huge win against Arizona and big win against TAMU. Also It doesn't hurt that they came in the season ranked after a Final Four appearance, and in the early part of the season showed that they are a top team. Personally have no problem with FAU making it. Just wish we would get more respect for our win against them, and coming in first in a decent AAC. At the same time we lost two of our last three games and did not impress early in the season. Lets learn from it and do better next year.

    It pains me to not see USF on this board, but still cant believe my second school Stetson is on there. I hope UAB and FAU do well so our conference gets more respect. Next year will be our year.

    No doubt that when we look back this will be viewed as a successful season.

    Probably winning 75 percent of our OOC games plus a win against a top 25 Power 5 team would have sealed it for us.

    Personally I don't feel aggrieved. Do we deserve a spot. Yes! But other teams can probably make that case as well. However, I understand that we did not get in due to our poor start, weak OOC, and the fact that we lost two of our last three games, including the last one with double digits. It is what it is. Next year we can hopefully do better. Lets just focus on the NIT

    I would say that with 24 wins and a probable NIT birth, plus a bowl win in football plenty has changed compared to the last few years. Furthermore, the foundation has been set for even more success next year.

    Disappointing, but excited about our prospects next year. Hopefully most players come back, and we are able to add a few pieces to get even better. Our NCAAT birth was lost early season during our OOC schedule. Hopefully next year we can have a better start with a stronger OOC schedule. Winning these end of season tournaments are never easy, that is why they call it March Madness. Hopefully we can have a tournament lock next year before the AAC tournament but yes this one stings.

    Yea, I 100 percent agree. The only way they could do it in this way is if they added more teams to the NCAAT set up by adding an extra round. But I would not be in favor of that since that would make earning a bid less special.

    i think you get in any way you can. Personally I feel that if we win today we would have earned it regardless as to whether we get in or not. Regarding the NIT it would be a nice consolation price. However, it would be a bit disappointing imo since we are so close. Regardless an amazing season no matter what happens for the rest of the season.

    One reason to the change format. No reason to have these games in a big arena in Forth Worth. The AAC should consider homecourt advantage for higher seeds. First of all it would provide a meaningful advantage for winning the regular season, and would provide the opportunity for more fans to attend.

    The potential benefit regarding FAU looking like a lock for the NCAA tournament is that they might come out without much to play for. Although that might go both ways since they could come out relaxed and play better.

    After going 22-2 in the last 24 all we need now is a two game winning streak. I will be rooting hard for a FAU loss tonight.

    Or a team that is still at 27 in the AP poll, or went 22-2 in the last 24, including wins against FAU and Memphis.

    Its great to watch other basketball games with implications for the Bulls. I am wondering do we want Wichita State or UAB? Wichita State would have to play their fourth game in four days. While UAB would give us the opportunity to have beaten every team in conference plus a win against a 20 + win team. It would help brush up our resume. Ultimately though I am hoping for us to play Wichita State.

    I expect an easy win today for UAB against Wichita State since they are playing for a third day in a row

    I wonder do we get style points with the committee for winning in a blowout? Today we look like a top 25 and tournament team. Need to bring the same energy tomorrow!

    Yea I hope when they select teams they will look passed the NET and look at how we played in the last 2/3 of our season. Memphis was hot and cold this year but were still a pretty good team. We are two spots out of the top 25. Win today and tomorrow and we should remain in that 23-27 range in that human ranking, even if things don't work out in the final. I have to believe that that could be enough. Need to to care of business in the second half though.

    We have come out strong today. Need to do the same thing in the second half. hopefully ECU will tire in the second half after playing yesterday

    The AAC is definitely down this year, and our OOC results were not good. However, wins against FAU, Memphis, Loyola, FSU, SMU, Charlotte after our bad start makes for a pretty good resume. These are still predictions. Right now we are ranked 27 in the AP. Have to believe that if we win the next two that we become a bubble NCAAT team. But it would be close.
