  1. Its a great book and read it back in the day for a Russian literature course, but it is just so overly long. For those who love literature it should be on ones bucket list though. Personally lately I have been more obsessed with gaming, but am trying to still to commit to about 20 pages a day when it comes to reading literature ( non manga since I read tons of that). Been focused more on Irish literature lately though since I have June trip to Dublin and want to get through all of the James Joyce books.
  2. Reading through this entire thread would be more akin to reading though Joyce's Finnegan's Wake
  3. That is disappointing. It was streamed last year so I don't see why they cant do it this year.
  4. Plus as a fanbase we have suffered enough to the point that posting an April fools joke would almost feel sadistic.
  5. Its hard to know how it will play out, but I feel there is a chance that we bring our A game, and we play up to the competition due to the name and/or the excitement of playing them in front of a large crowd at home. Similar to the Bama game and the Cuse game where we brought the fire.
  6. I haven't watched many of the baseball games this season , but will definitely tune in on Tuesday for the game against Stetson.
  7. Much tougher schedule compared to last year. I think we improve and win 8 or 9 games. I really want to beat Miami, and I do think we will win that one.
  8. We had great years for football and men's basketball, women's volleyball improved, and we want to keep Jose. This would be a good time for extensions and raises for multiple of our coaches. I am sure it will be happening soon.
  9. Miami might not like it, but just as we didn't like the additions of UCF and FAU ultimately we did what was best for the league. If a a strong majority of remaining ACC teams believe its in their best interest to add us, they will add us. Besides I do believe Miami is one of those teams that will ultimately leave the ACC.
  10. I hope he stays. I believe he can be an important piece of a USF team that makes a deep run in the NCAAT. Next year at USF he can get the NBA attention + be part of a historic team that plays in front of huge crowds. No better time than right now being a player at USF.
  11. I think its some kind of a bug. It happens a lot recently where things get double posted.
  12. Depending on how many teams they lose; they can do all of the above; add PAC/Mountain West teams; add AAC teams (including USF), and add U Conn. USF, U Conn, Tulane, Memphis, WSU,OSU, Boise State, and San Diego State could all be added at the same time.
  13. I agree. That's why I feel the more programs the ACC loses the better I like our chances of being added to the ACC. I am totally fine with being in a conference with the remaining ACC teams, plus a bunch of West Coast teams, plus Tulane, UConn, and Memphis.
  14. Verry true. San Diego State is slowly becoming an elite program. Good football and great basketball. Add to that a top class OCS, and I think there is little doubt that they have moved up when it comes to future consideration in conference realignment.
  15. One caveat though. Those teams, if receiving an ACC invite today would probably at this time refuse, and wait out the situation to see how many teams the ACC loses. If it became clear that the ACC would be losing only 2-3 teams than they would probably accept an invitation. If it becomes clear that the ACC is losing a bunch of teams than those teams would likely refuse and stay in the Big 12
  16. They would definitely not go for it which is understandable Maybe something that would be more palatable would be SEC-ACC-AAC-Sun Belt- Conference USA and Big 10-Big 12- Mountain west top 2 move up, bottom 2 move down. Not going to ever happen, but it would be interesting
  17. I like the Mario Party bumper analogy. The Pac just got knocked over, and now its just the Big 12 and the ACC remaining.
  18. I think we can do both. Pay Jose to stay, and free up money for Coach Amir. Jose has been our most consistent coach so we should do what we can to keep him.
  19. Number 2 is no longer that important. When ( or if) the ACC falls apart it will look like a Mario party game where everyone is jumping over themselves to land on the last remaining log.
  20. Weirder things have happened in college football just in the last 2 years
  21. I think system that has very little to do as to why we had meager years after the first year of Strong and under Scott. I think Golesh and Rahim proved that point with bringing in new systems and having success year 1.
  22. You mean like an assistant coach? I don't think that would be the route to go. The best plan for a program like USF will always be to find the best available person with HC experience. However, I hope this wont be an issue for many years to come. and Rahim will be with us a long time. Hopefully at some point we will be in the ACC or Big 12 where it will become easier to keep good HC's.
  23. Hope he stays. His run with women's basketball has been one of the most impressive in USF history. The only one I can think of is maybe Kiefer's run in men's soccer.
  24. One easy fix would be for the NCAA governing body to change the opening date of the transfer portal to the day after all the tournaments are finished.
