  1. GTech has competed. Vandy "competed" when they had Franklin. Maybe they are not going to be able to sustain like Bama, UGA, UF, LSU, etc for long periods of time, but they can compete and at least when they do have that great year there is a shot. ucf demonstrated again last year that a great year does not equal a shot for nonP5 schools
  2. There really isn't an argument. Georgia Tech and Vandy both have a shot at the playoffs/NC while USF does not. Evidenced by ucf's undefeated season last year. Maybe in 2022 with Texas, Louisville, and UF are on the schedule. Next year with Wisconsin, GTech, BYU and at CMU??? There's also the opportunity for more $$ for the HC and staff and finances from the conference affiliation.
  3. The case isn't necessarily closed. Like jtrue said, it is also about decision making
  4. No ****. He couldn't find any Adidas gear? Maybe he agrees with puc
  5. 75 bucks. Congrats on the baby, but it looked like Barnett had his son there....
  6. And for the sake of clarity. ucf should be proud of the W over auburn as well as the aac indirectly, but it doesn't give them anymore claim to a national championship than beating tulsa
  7. Did he read it? It's in the title of the article in the link. lol
  8. uh, no they're not. They are moving into a stadium downtown that is owned by the city and they are the primary tenant.
  9. Thanks, great idea especially for someone like my that has many conflicts on Saturdays throughout the year
  10. No he didn't. He rattled off the same nonsense along with some ad hominem attacks. The SEC is a drastically better conference than the aac and it's pretty common knowledge that some teams have a lower intensity level come bowl games than other teams (I didn't say all). the auburn vs. ucf is about as obvious a set up for this as any bowl game I can think of in recent years
  11. Stopped by Fan Fest with my son. We got there late, about 3, coming straight from baseball activities so not in Bull gear. Got a pic with CCS and then walked around getting autographs from most groups. Players were really personable and almost all engaged in some conversation with my son. A few asked him about baseball (and even encouraged him to stay with it over football). Chris O recognized the program we are with from our shirts and we talked for a few minutes. Cronkite also went on with my son for several minutes, he seemed genuinely excited to be talking baseball with him. *AD Kelly was walking behind us at one point shaking all the players hands and thanking them for being there. Heard a few players thanking him for the new jerseys. *Tyre McCants isn't playing TE in the NFL. He looked closer to 5'8" or 5'9" than the listed 5'11", but he is still a bad ass. *Black So Flo jerseys looked nice. *I also was speaking to the ticket folks and found out that they have deal where you can buy 10 tickets for $150 to use in any combo for any game. I hadn't heard that before.
  12. You didn't make any points to counter and you brought the term "myopic" into the discussion. My points are above, read them again if you like Yes, we lack "objectivity" .....
  13. Man, he wasn't even drafted and there's a reason for that
  14. the ucf fan who wants to declare himself national champion calling someone else "myopic" . Special
  15. Well the relationship is definitely there so you never know. Maybe he is one of those secret donors waiting in the wings?

  17. I don't know, but isn't he working with the College of Medicine?
  18. Great minds .... lol. And make no mistake, in the not for profit world, get in good with the wife if you want the financial support.
  19. One of the daughter-in-laws is alumni, but yes it would make sense for USF to have some kind of relationship with the family
  20. It would appear that they surpassed by far revenue expectations even with far greater expenses than originally projected.
  21. For sure. He may need some work on the intricacies like blocking assignments, picking up blitzes, etc. Not sure what his hands are like out of the backfield, but he's probably best fit as a 3rd down type of back
