  1. The difference was that when we played McNeese st, we sucked too. McNeese wasn't overly talented, but a power house high school team might have beat us that night. USF couldn't even get a play off without being penalized, we couldn't complete an intermediate pass, Aaron Lynch, the all star, was getting pushed around. So the point is, we don't suck now. (Hopefully)
  2. Comparatively to our conference games, this is an easier one. I've said it before, UConn will be tougher than NIU. This is no trap game. NIU sucks
  3. Very big athletic guy, but lets remember we already have awesome QB depth with JR Flowers, SO Woolard and Kean, AND Fr Oladakun. I could see him transferring to USF if we offered QB, but I doubt he will come here to play another position. If he does, come on back home brother
  4. Getting Tramal Ivy is a must. We already aren't getting Calloway, our DE spot is looking very weak right now. Any word on if he's for sure coming still?
  5. Finally, practice starts tomorrow. Who wants to make a new thread that ACTUALLY talks about the team, instead of expansion? This was a nice way to somewhat take away the suck of the off season, but jeesh, this topic is so dull by now. This is officially my last post on this trash thread. You guys can get it to 1,000 without me!
  6. This sucks so bad, I almost thumbed down your post. Calloway could have given us the defensive line depth that we needed to put us over the top
  7. Everyone likes to answer this first question as if there is one blanket answer that covers all scenarios. Of course USF has a shot if undefeated, but there are so many variables. Did FSU have a good season? Is USF just skating by with our wins, or are we beating teams by two touchdowns? Obviously the most important win score wise is the FSU game. Other musts are going into a ranked Temple team in Philly, and playing at max a 1-2 loss Houston team in the CCG. Obviously Navy making a ranked status again will help our cause, and I do believe they will. The other part of this question is how many losses other teams have, but I believe this is much more about how well USF does, than about other teams. It sucks thinking that we could possibly go undefeated and not make the playoffs, but I truly believe that if we beat each team convincingly, there is no way we are left out, unless the AAC has a complete meltdown this year, or FSU sucks.
  8. I hope you're right, but I think you're reading a wee bit too much into the verbage of it. I read it as, 'quite a few teams seem ready to leave, so we have replacement teams ready for each possible scenario'. I don't think anything is set yet. But everything is speculation until its not
  9. Haven't looked much on her because I am too much on the Johnson hype train, but it is good to see people look outside the box this election. Trump and Clinton are so horrible as people
  10. Since we are just trying to get the post count up, I would like to point out that I am voting for Gary Johnson in November
  11. I really feel like NFL.com has more articles covering USF than ESPN. ESPN is such a trash company that only recognizes the P5
  12. 1. Valdes scantling. He's a very athletic guy, but had some drops in the spring. I bet he fixes that and comes out guns blazing. On defense, I bet it's Cecil cherry. He's one big mfer, and I want to see him on the field. 2. Can't, I'm in California this year. 3. SMU in Dallas, and the UCF game. (Last two games) 4. Yes, this is bigger than last time we played FSU. This would be #1 in USF history if FSU beats Ole miss before us. Maybe #2 to the WVU game. 5. Strength: WR or linebackers. Weakness: defensive end. I don't think only adding Ivy to the weak unit will fix the problem. Might need to pull some of the DTs over to DE. Hopefully the versatile Derrick Calloway will be back this fall
  13. Nailed it. I don't even have to comment now. That being said, I can't wait until Monday for media day, and fall practice so we have something to talk about again
  14. Judson was talking about how it would be big shoes to full to replace flowers, so he is eyeing the QB position.
  15. I agree, for not being P5, the AAC is very strong. If the Big 12 picks up two total, and only Cincy from the AAC, we will be fine
  16. I want to laugh with you, but the idea of this makes me sick. Lets please refrain from these scenarios because it really makes me want to cry
  17. I have no doubt a Leavitt USF team would consistently be at the top of the conference. As excited as I am about this year's squad, Leavitt never seemed to have a problem finding great players ando putting together awesome teams either. I guess I just fail to see why you would move on from a good thing
  18. I'm sure most on this board would. The only reason I add cable every year is for football season, then turn it back off. Sure, I'll watch NFL and NBA and NHL too because it's on, but college ball is the main show to me
  19. Reading the timeline, and the picture of Jim Leavitt at his press conference just reminded me of how mad I was at USF for firing him. Such an amazing coach who had a great passion for USF. He wanted nothing more than to take this team all the way.I can confidently say that we would be in a better spot as a program if we had never fired him.
  20. I see a lot of suggesting articles of a 14 team league, but I've never heard anything out of the big 12 saying 14. Anybody see a quote that they are looking to potentially add 4?
  21. 1. First game was with 3 of my high school buddies, at 2007 WVU when I was 15 years old. We got our hands on alcohol pregame and continuously drank during the game, and we were by far the most obnoxious and loud ones in an already loud section. I made a ton more games ever since, and 2007 was the year I pledged to be only a USF fan for life, instead of liking FSU as well. 2. Really don't have a preference. I hesitantly say fire. 3. Live in California. Next year will be the year I can start attending all functions usf again 4. I think it's a 50/50 shot they even expand this off season. If they do expand, I say 20% if it's 2 teams, 80% if it's 4 5. Partial blame, sure, but duggie ruined us
  22. I think the AAC will be fine if we only lose Houston. The only problem this poses is making it harder to pick off Mountain West teams. We likely will have to take NIU, Toledo, MTSU, Army, or Marshall. I definitely don't want to see UMass or Charlotte move up as has been suggested. They are such terrible teams
  23. Expansion talk makes me want to cry. Lets just play football in the AAC, the best by far G5 conference. I can deal with that. Idk how to deal with losing possibly 3 of the best teams here to be stuck with Tulane, SMU, Tulsa, and whoever the hell else. August can't come fast enough
