  1. I have tried so many times to find the preseason 2016 all AAC teams on any site. Any help? type in AAC and all you get is ACC, and if you type in American athletic conference team, you get the all America team..... I'm really starting to hate the AAC's name
  2. Less than 8 wins, and this year will have been a complete disappointment to me The way I see it, games fall into these categories when predicting how many wins we will have. Obviously nothing is for sure, but this is how I pencil in the games as. Wins - Towson, SMU, UCF, ECU (Their recruiting has been pretty down, and they lost their star defensive players) Probable wins (We probably drop 1 of these, or very easily 2 of them if we aren't careful) - NIU, Syracuse, UConn, Cincinnati, Navy (They lose everybody on offense) Toss ups - Temple, Memphis (They lose Lynch, but they still have fire power) Probable losses - FSU, (and Houston if we make the CCG like I am predicting) This makes my prediction to be about 9-3, but possibly 10-2 if we really take care of business not including the bowl game.
  3. They definitely play in conference USA..... a much better conference than the lowly sun belt.
  4. Getting away from the playoff talk, and more about perception, and getting us that higher ranking, we start the season out with Towson, Northern Illinois, and Syracuse before we play Florida St. We should start the season looked at being around #32, so I think the goal is to be ranked before we play a hopefully top 5 Florida St so that the perception isn't that we came onto the scene ONLY from a Florida St win (this is hypothetical obviously). We have to get noticed before we play them
  5. I have been on message boards for like 5-6 years, from Big East blog on ESPN, to AAC BCSNN repping USF, then here. And I am 24. So I don't think its an only old people thing
  6. Losing Memphis would be a much smaller blow to the conference than losing Cincy, Houston, UConn, or the dreaded situation of UCF going and not us (however very unlikely that is, because outside of one year, they have been little brother to our program). So even if this horse manure is true, Memphis could be replaced, and the AAC would still be in a similar standing it is now. Which is too good for the G4, and not good enough for the P5.
  7. Usfs team could beat a wnba team.... Athleticism of a man is far superior than the women. Dumb debate here
  8. I am very surprised that Deatrick Nichols is thought of as the best non QB prospect in the conference. I am a huge Nichols fan, and definitely thought he was the top prospect on the team, but the conference? Wow. Good for him. Hope he keeps it up this year, because if he does, hes looking at anywhere between rounds 1-3 already
  9. The AAC is the most underrated conference in the NCAA. It is on the cusp of P5 but wasn't invited to the party. We really are the equivalent to the ACC minus Fla St and Clemson, or the equal to Big 12 minus Texas and Oklahoma. Top to bottom, this conference has depth. Take out Tulane and SMU and there are no easy games
  10. UCF president is publicly lobbying for the big 12, and also adds that he wishes USF to join with them. I wonder if Judy has the same sentiment. http://www.wftv.com/news/local/ucf-president-speaks-with-channel-9-about-interest-in-joining-big-12-conference/276734048?ecmp=wftv_social_twitter_sfp
  11. USF needs to hope expansion is delayed at least 2 years so that our program gets a chance to build up a better resume. I think a lot of our sports are on the upswing, plus the AAC isn't a bad home for now
  12. Makes no sense to think USF will win the AAC with 8 wins.... I believe USF can win it, but we will need at least 10 wins imo
  13. Anyone who has played sports knows that a change of scenery can make ALL the difference for an athlete. Hope he comes in and kicks butt
  14. I personally was very happy to see the Ravens take Keenan Reynolds in the 6th. The guy dominated the AAC and he is going to have an awesome career in the pros as well. He deserves this all the way. Go Navy!
  15. I think he is comparing Kean to Grothe because they both can run, but obviously neither of them have the type of running talent that QF has. Also, Grothe seemed like more of a gun slinger than Flowers, which isn't necessarily to say its better or worse, but Flowers takes a lot less risks with throwing the ball down field. He doesn't typically throw it unless his guy is wide open.
  16. its hard to imagine a back up linebacker at USF getting drafted, but then again Mike McFarland was a back up tight end and he got drafted, so it isn't impossible. Its good to see he has NFL aspirations.
  17. Probably why Senat is on 2nd team right now... I expected him to be the top DT for sure. Bronson is great, but the young guy
  18. Is he going to play safety? He isn't a top notch cover guy, hes just a great athlete who fit in our scheme in my opinion. I will say, he would be awesome on special teams. 6th-7th round sounds about right for him
  19. Even looking back on it, even though Byrd was easily the best of the bunch on USF's team, I don't know where he realistically fits on an NFL defense. And NFL teams are quick to point at injury concerns if you are not an elite talent, so that will be a knock on Thor Jozwiak. So honestly, I think my top 6 could easily be interchangeable
  20. I haven't heard anybody talk about this at all. If I were ranking the draft eligible seniors in order,(I will list them all for now) my list would go Jamie Byrd, Thor Jozwiak, Eric Lee, Brynjar Gudmundsson, Sean Price, Mattias Ciabatti, James Hamilton, Mak Djulbegovic, Tashon Whitehurst, and then of course, Steven Bench. I feel like anybody from Mattias Ciabatti and up is realistically draftable, but I think USF got lucky last year getting 3 guys drafted, and even though we have a better team, I don't think any one player is a lock to be drafted. I will say 3 of those 6 will be drafted. Any other predictions?
  21. I bought a lotto ticket on the clock at 9:45 at night, while no one had come through my line in at least 15 minutes mind you, at one of those little machines and they said it was illegal, and I should not have done that. Fired. I **** you not. And it probably had nothing to do with it being the same manager who fired my brother who was a produce manager for 10 years just 3 months before.... Hmm... I was there 5 years and they did me wrong. But that is A okay, I am going to be physician assistant making a ton more money, and spending it at other stores. Again, Publix blows Bring on more negative votes
  22. In a more serious mood, I saw a few highlight reels of UCF's spring game... They actually look very slow for a team that is going to pride itself on speed. Sure, Frost's first recruiting class hasn't set in yet, but I hope for their sake that they aren't relying on an average recruiting class of incoming freshmen
  23. Based on what? They lose their star safety Andrew Adams, their D line, and they already had no offense to speak of. Don't mind that they recruit terribly. I am not saying a team can't come out of nowhere, but UConn is my pick to be last place in the east this year, battling it out with UCF
  24. Honestly the only team that has a chance to even sniff the AAC East right now besides us is Temple. I would say Cincy too, but holy cow, I don't know what happened to them at the end of last season! There is some big problems going on over there. Not a chance that UConn, ECU, or UCF challenges I don't think
  25. If Calloway actually makes the team in the fall, this could be the deepest set of DTs USF has ever had. There won't be enough playing time for the 5 of them, but I think Calloway has some experience shifting to DE sometimes. We may ask him to do this much more this year
