  1. +5. As much of an animal as Byrd was, we are just being so passive this year.
  2. Yeah I agree. I think they would have won by even more if Milton was starting over Holman. They look like an 8 win team right now. Looking forward to that game now, as its the only game I'll be able to make this year.
  3. I'm only saying that the AAC is better than the Big 12. Not claiming that we are better than the ACC or Pac 12. Obviously nowhere near the Big 10 or SEC. So the 5th best IMO
  4. I got down voted for posting facts that show that the AAC is better than the Big 12 hahahah. Bunch of winners in this place
  5. But if you're arguing what the best conference is, and the AAC and the SEC are the only conferences to sweep those games, how does it not count as a plus for the AAC? Every year p5 teams drop those games, but the AAC didn't. And my above posts further proves the AAC is better. So you can not care all you want. Facts say we are better
  6. Actually, you are wrong again. VS FCS, AAC is 12-0, and Big12 is 6-1 VS G5, AAC is 10-0, and Big 12 is 8-4 Vs P5, AAC is 6-11, and Big12 is 3-6. We are absolutely better than the Big 12 AAC is 2-2 Vs the Big 12, but both of the Big 12's wins were vs SMU, our worst team. The absolute facts say, that even with more teams (more chances to lose, since we have lower incomes), we are better than the Big 12
  7. No I didn't, I said 16-11 vs FBS, 28-11 vs D1. Where as the Big 12 has lost twice vs FCS teams. So yes it does matter. In fact, only the SEC went undefeated vs FCS, while the AAC went 12-0. So how about them apples?
  8. Well I would counter, and say that we are better on the field than most of the world thinks. Facts: The AAC is 12-0 vs FCS, 10-0 vs G5, and 6-11 vs P5. Overall, that is 16-11 vs the rest of the FBS, and 28-11 overall vs D1 teams. If projections are correct today, we should get two more wins vs G5.
  9. Memphis is arguably the second best team in the conference... And the thing about the AAC this year is that we don't have a TERRIBLE team, but no GREAT teams outside of Houston. If you look on CBS 128 rankings, nobody is ranked 98 or worse. That is a first for the AAC. Tulane's only loss was to a 4-0 Wake Forest by a score of 7-3 and 3-0 Navy on a lucky break. And they are our second to worst team. I think what you are referring to, is parity
  10. Honestly man, Phillip Nelson and the playmakers are playing fine (outside of the fumble in the end zone). Its the offensive line that is playing atrocious right now for you guys
  11. I had money on UCF, expecting Milton to play.... With Holman in, I feel like I've lost already.
  12. It does because the AAC is C-USA from years ago. The good news is that the current AAC is miles ahead of the current C-USA.
  13. Awesome guy. Easily my favorite bull right now, and I wished we used him more on jet sweeps vs Florida state. I think it would have worked
  14. Cincy is looking more like a running team with Ross Trail starting in place of Hayden Moore. He doesn't scare me in the air, but the dude is super sneaky athletic, and they do a lot more read option than they used to. Maybe a 4-3 isn't such a bad idea vs Cincy too? Switch back to that 4-2-5 stuff vs teams like SMU, Tulsa, Memphis and ECU. 4-3 vs Navy and UConn
  15. Seems like a very spur of the moment statement, since I doubt you say that if we were to ask what you think before the FSU game. Although I do think that DJ has NFL potential, they both have a lot of things to improve on still.
  16. I know what I am saying is pure speculation, but I think the strength of this USF team is in the Junior class, so I think if he leaves, it will be the year after next. Losing Sanchez, Mack, Johnson, MVS, Senat, Nichols, Fullwood, Abraham, some linemen, and Flowers. All we lose this year is Adams (huge loss) and who else? Harris? Godwin? Awoloke? Amichia? Those are plenty manageable losses Plus, the buyout would be less if he stayed an extra year.
  17. In the AAC, you are about 2 to 2.5 games back behind the P5 record, and that is proven by the end of the year polls. Meaning if an AAC team is 10-2, it is equivalent to an 8-4 (P5) or a 7-5 (SEC) school. Yes, SEC gets even extra benefit of the doubt.
  18. I don't know why I'm still watching this Memphis game, but you might be right about NIU being better than BG. Bowling Green has like 7 drops this game, and 2 leading to pick 6s
  19. Haha good, its just friendly banter brother. I just feel very strongly that you are wrong!
  20. Oh, and Bowling Green is better than NIU, and Memphis is already beating them worse than we beat NIU. There is 12:39 left in the second quarter and Memphis is up 42-3. Edit: I really have nothing to base that statement on, outside of BG beating NIU last year on the last game of the year 34 - 14, and also finishing the year with 2 more wins. But I feel like both of those mean something at least.
  21. Yep. You told me to come back after Oklahoma beats Houston too, and here I am. But I'll still be here when we DON'T 'demolish' Cincy, and Ole Memphis (?) doesn't beat the breaks off Memphis. I think you're wrong on both counts. Though I do believe we beat Cincy. I'm thinking more like a 41-31 win. And I think Memphis keeps it within 10 (We likely would lose to Ole Miss too)
  22. Nailed it. I was saying the whole time "its a long game". But this was the beginning of the end.
  23. What makes us better? We lost to Memphis last year, we beat FCS Towson, and Northern Illinois (is 0-4 and lost by multiple scores this week to FCS team) and beat Syracuse. I just think Memphis looks slightly more well rounded. I think it actually is pretty close, and could pretty much be 2a and 2b for #2 in the conference, but don't act like we are significantly better lol
  24. This also isn't a panic statement, but reality. I think Memphis is better than us right now. We may be 3rd best in the conference.
