  1. As a matter of fact, look at Oklahoma's resume and tell me how the only significant win is Baylor and they are at #8. Wake up guys
  2. Be real with yourself, would any AAC team be ranked with Oklahoma state's resume? You can't look at their 'sos' because it is inflated by biased rankings. Realistically, they have had three tough games at 8-2 (beat WVU, beat Pitt, and lost to Baylor). It actually is pretty solid, but they also lost to Central Michigan. The rest of their wins are nothing to speak of, unless a one point win over Texas Tech is a "good win". That puts them at #11 Now, look at Houston. They have also pretty much had three tough games in Navy, Oklahoma, and Tulsa (you can say they aren't good all you want, but they have been unranked / receiving votes all year just like Pitt has) they went 2-1 in these games as well, and had a similar head scratcher to SMU (though I would argue SMU is slightly better than C Michigan, but not by much). Though the resumes are not far off, Oklahoma State is #11, Houston is completely unranked. Thus, there is your biased rankings. Top of the AAC = Top of the Big 12
  3. Feel free to think what you want, but UConn is apparently 5 spots better than ECU, despite a 43-3 beat down, and UConn scoring 0 TDs in the last 10 quarters. anybody who even peaks at these teams could tell you who's better. USF is also better than VA Tech and Navy, but multiple spots behind both. The bottom line is that the AAC has a better non conference win % than the Big12, including a better win % vs the power 5, and including a Houston win (4th in the AAC) over Oklahoma (first in the Big 12). Voters vote based on box score and name recognition, we all know this, so I'm not sure why we all are surprised that the AAC's teams all ranked lower despite similar on field (arguably better) results.
  4. I really thought some of the early posts were troll posts so I let it go. But a few of you were serious, so I must say this. If you think the top (5 best) of the Big12 is better than the top of the AAC, you're an idiot. The only difference will be a few less bottom feeders (Kansas, Iowa state are likely the only perennial bad teams)
  5. You forgot that he can't carry a workload of three straight carries without fumbling. Don't twist my stance, I love me some MM, but this is the NFL. 6th-7th rounder right now, if he's lucky. It wouldn't be a lock either
  6. I'm cheering for Houston over Louisville for sure. A conference mate beating the #3 team in the country goes a lot further in getting the conference recognized than the one spot we give up to them. Also UConn over BC. This all helps perception, and SoS
  7. Exactly, he has so much natural talent, so I figured the tackling would have been corrected by now. I also saw Ed Reed style ball hawking skills from him, but instead Jaymon Thomas is taking the spotlight
  8. Well idk where else he would go? He's not ready for the NFL yet
  9. You nailed it, and we all see it. I personally am not a fan of Barr right now either, but I hope he steps up. I also thought Fullwood would be better this year
  10. My poll personally goes 1. Alabama 2. Ohio state 3. Louisville 4. Michigan 5. Clemson 6. Washington 7. Wisconsin 8. West Virginia 9. Penn State 10. Colorado 11. Oklahoma 12. Western Michigan 13. Oklahoma state 14. USC 15. FSU 16. LSU 17. Utah 18. Washington state 19. Houston 20. Boise state 21. Troy 22. Auburn 23. Florida 24. USF 25. Navy 26. Nebraska 27. SDSU 28. Texas A&M 29. UNC 30. Tennessee Virginia Tech sucks donkey ****, and to a lesser extent, so does Stanford. not a clue what people are looking at to give them more votes?
  11. Now this is a big trap game looking ahead to UCF. They have the playmakers to do it, we just have to out physical them. SMU is very much a quick finesse team. This means more running and less passing when we are on offense. On defense, we have to get pressure on their young freshman QB who's improving as a passer. And if you stop the big pass to Courtland Sutton, you can stop their offense. I'd say keep Nichols on him all game with Jaymon Thomas at safety help all game. Those are our biggest defenders we have.
  12. I'm laughing because it won't happen. he will be back next year. I honestly don't think we lose anybody to the draft this year
  13. I went to a lot of UConn games when I lived up there, and yeah, the games were pretty boring. I just made a habit of getting obnoxious drunk and hitting on the UConn girls. Terrible atmosphere, most people are just there, not paying attention.
  14. Good stats, but I always like to note that when considering SOS, that we have now dealt 7 losses to the teams we beat, thus lowering our SOS. A bad team likely has a higher SOS based on consistently losing.
  15. Nailed it. People are followers though. College teams thrive on support, so support your team, and be patient. I'll be a USF supporter for life, no matter what.
  16. Nichols has really disappointed this year in coverage as well. Granted, he is still our best corner by far, but I expected him to be NFL good, but he isn't even looking like a training camp add on so far.
  17. I think its a lock to be ranked if we beat Memphis. No way is USF left out at 8-2. We would have been ranked if we beat Temple as well.
  18. I take that back, Temple owns the tie breaker on both USF and UCF. USF absolutely MUST win out to have a chance. I forgot Temple had that miracle comeback vs UCF in the game UCF was winning by like 20
  19. A funny scenario is if USF stumbles against Memphis, and Temple does again too (a very possible scenario), then we need UCF to win out, but lose to us in the season finale, so that we can win the 3 way tie breaker for highest ranked team of the three. So while I am cheering for Houston to meet us in the championship game, it isn't all bad if UCF pulls out the win.
  20. I don't know if one is better than the other, but if you made me think about who the bigger loss would be if you took one of them away from the team, I think the answer is Mack. You can't replace explosiveness like that. DJ is more consistent and a great player though. Small gap imo
  21. I really have no idea what you're talking about. Never, under any circumstance, does it look better to win by 7 than it does by 28+. Navy has a set resume. If we decimated then, it looks good on us, period.
  22. Wilcox has to understand the situation better. That was really really sloppy
