  1. Just got the email for the grand opening. January 10th!
  2. If we just added those 2 and left it as a 10 team conference I'd have been happier than what ended up happening. Guessing they added the others to bump it up to 14 knowing 3-4 teams in the conference are actively looking to leave to another conference
  3. Looks like Riverview's coach understands how its done a lot better than Spoto's. Lets him know he'd like to see Golesh swing by but doesn't publicly shame him to do it
  4. Something about UAB's color's, location, and chugging along against all pushback from the big guys makes me root for them a bit. Probably the newest addition I'm most excited to play.
  5. Possible additional revenue stream for the OCS? 35-40k seems like it would be the perfect size compared to Ray Jay. NWSL teams averaged between 4.4k and 19.1k per game in attendance
  6. Lets just wait to see the first game. Just by overall recruiting talent we had the 66th best roster in the country last year. Better than Kansas State, Tulane, and UTSA: https://247sports.com/Season/2022-Football/CollegeTeamTalentComposite/ Maybe we just had a level coaching that made major league talent look aaa. On paper we'll be a top 3 talented team in the new conference, no reason this shouldn't be a quick turnaround
  7. Now that we know the renderings exist its time to unnecessarily assume everything is a hint at when they are getting released. Seeing the new digs this weekend?
  8. Local high school coach was ******** on Twitter lastnight about not having the new staff reach out to him yet (after 10 days lol). He followed up this morning that Golesh has since reached out to him and is looking forward to meeting him Weird move on the high school coaches part but goes to show Golesh is really giving this 110%
  9. we’re also adding women’s beach volleyball. I think you’re right and it’s title 9 related to getting funding for the OCS
  10. Hate to speculate but I wonder if its something academically related. If it was anything athletics could help with I think they would for Boyles right now before letting it get to this point. Semester just ended. Deadline for fall grades to be posted is tomorrow.
  11. Also the head coach is an immigrant from the Soviet Union, its not like he comes from a privileged background
  12. RB coach is Matt Merrit: https://gseagles.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/matt-merritt/1163 CB coach is Matt Birkett: https://twitter.com/coachbirkett Hasn't been confirmed yet but heavily rumored Marcus Davis is WR coach: https://gseagles.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/marcus-davis/1162
  13. George Courides Named Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for USF Football - USF Athletics Comes to USF after six seasons on the Iowa State strength staff. Like that he has a background in nutrition as well. Players have talked about how the last staff was really lacking in preparing plans around nutrition
  14. Well if that’s a factor so is the fact that the DC had FAU level CUSA players to work with
  15. He all but confirmed this with his comments on this being a business decision. Also probably thinks he’ll get more NFL exposure in the Big 12 on a team without a bottom 10 defense
  16. Got me curious, Stan Heath is 2-9 at Eastern Michigan. Has Emoni Bates there as well
  17. Wow McCloud and Dollison, will be keeping an eye on them. pumped we got their DB’s coach, they had one of the best defenses in the G5 last year as a first year FBS team
  18. FAU's defense was 4th in their conference last year in points allowed, pretty good against their peers. I just think the way football is right now so heavily favors the offense 85% of teams probably complain about their defense.
  19. FAU's defense let up 26.6 PPG, we let up 41.2 PPG. We had a bad defense, they had an average defense with some bad moments. I'll take having a defense as bad as theirs was last year in a heartbeat.
  20. The feasibility study Harlan did over 5 years ago has the prices at that time, then the prices escalated to 2022 prices. Golesh claims we're breaking ground by the end of 2023. Anyone know if after that feasibility study the plan was always to start building a stadium around now? Or was the new admin that came in after critical for this to make it this far?
  21. speculation on what we can see through the blurring has begun on twitter. Looks like there is big green paneling around the outside of the stadium and possibly a new body of water to the right.
  22. Somebody break into the Populous office!! Renderings exist!! If they are out on a board like that at their office it can't be long until we see them. Monday at 8AM
  23. Whats an example of a stadium you like? Populous does a bunch of different styles, also CSU's and SDSU's stadiums recently
  24. Failing would have been going 3-9 in year 2 and 5-7 in year 3. Jeff Scott looks to be the only coach in FBS history to have coached at least 3 seasons and never win more than 2 games in a season. He legit could be the worst coach of all time.
