  1. good point, probably would make expansion more expensive anyway. I suppose if you want shade without restricting expansion it would have to be like the Washington Huskys stadium where the shade is just over the sideline sections, then you could expand in the endzone. Maybe the best option is Autzen stadium style. Have the shade only go over our most expensive season ticket holders and bench. Everyone else in the stadium is in the sun and leaves a lot of room for expansion http://eugenestadium.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Autzen-Stadium.jpg
  2. Looking through Populous's website its so exciting to think what they may cook up for us. They just built this MLS stadium in cincy for 250 million last year so shade is definitely on the table
  3. Nice little nugget, think coaching guys through a position change is always the sign of a guy who has some attention to detail. Position coach I was least worried about though as he can just tell Battie to keep doing what he's doing and look like a genius.
  4. Are we sure we're getting Demarcus Van Dyke still? He's been retweeting Miami stuff as recently as last night
  5. Trickett's biggest question mark to me is how did he think Marsh was better than Brown? When Scott was fired you'd think he was given the keys to the offense. There was only 3 games left so its not like he had to worry about burning a redshirt.
  6. https://twitter.com/GeorgeCourides/with_replies He has updated his bio to "Head Strength and Conditioning Coach University of South Florida". This link has a write up on him: Iowa State Football Camps | Iowa State University Iowa State Football Camps are held at the Bergstrom Football Complex on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa. Camps are led by the Iowa State Cyclones... I think overall that sounds positive, can't be worse than the last guy anyway. The teams we're constantly injured even before the seasons started.
  7. **** been prepping how to start his HC tenure for 2 years now. As a USF fan the offseason puff piece part of the year is my favorite
  8. As someone who wanted Deion I'll admit when I saw his price tag I felt like we dodged a bullet. 30 million dollars and enough pull to change school transfer requirements (watch out APR) for a coach that has 0 FBS wins. And had a team with more 4/5 star recruits than our entire conference last year and still had 4 FCS games that we're within 1 score in the fourth quarter.
  9. 80% of our coaches we're ranked while at USF. Every single one before Jeff Scott. Its not hard to have success here. Just need a guy that can keep the good times rolling once he gets there.
  10. The true freshman Ryan Conwell on the teams recent 5 game streak: 7 points, 3 boards, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game All I want from this years team is continued improvement of the players and a .500 record. We only graduate 2 contributors this year so if we can have some stability going into next season and grab a transfer and a solid recruit or 2 we could start rolling in the right direction again. I know this board isn't a fan of Gregory but constantly resetting this team and hoping we hit a home run isn't the path to success. I think its just getting to the point where we consistently win 50-55% of our games. Slowly build up a fanbase and a culture of not sucking. Then when we hit on a big time recruit or transfer it would be enough to get us in the tourney. Not constantly turning over half the roster and hoping we finally did it right.
  11. Coastal is going after Trickett, will find out soon if Golesh wants to keep him
  12. This is the kind of idea i've been waiting for. Sell some merch that the players would profit from. Then the players still get paid and the fans get something out of it, doesn't just feel like we're throwing our money away at the team. Something like get Battie some $20 mini helmets he autographs and sells for $50 a pop. They recoup that $20 on each sale and he gets $30 for each sale.
  13. Last year we shot 25% from 3. During this 5 game stretch: Game 1: 32% from 3 Game 2: 41% from 3 Game 3: 25% from 3 (LOSS) Game 4: 45% from 3 Game 5: 40% from 3 Hopefully we've actually turned a corner and the guys have learned how to shoot
  14. Yeah you we're up front and I appreciate that. Does seem like Deion was just playing the fanbase at least. In hindsight I think the USF admin knew they we're out on Deion by the time JP was working up people on twitter with the 90% done nonsense
  15. I think he's saying there has never been such an investment in the program as there is right now. When Scott took over he had blueprints of an IPF to point at. Golesh gets a brand new IPF to practice in as well as a stadium ready for current recruits senior season to recruit with.
  16. I thought I was done with them after the Stetson game but they've pulled me back in. Never thought I'd say this but hell of a coaching job by Gregory this season to keep these guys battling after an 0-5 start. Looking forward to making it out to a game this year now and rooting for Gregory to finish over .500 to bring some stability back to this team.
  17. This makes me wonder if the board signing off on the design firm means they know exactly what they're signing off on and for what price. If we have architectural plans and blueprints we gotta be close to having renderings if we don't already right? All I want for Christmas is some stadium renderings
  18. Seriously. The way they're tweeting about this I want guys like Daquan Evans in this locker room to kick start the new era, not Antonio "Business Decisions" Grier.
  19. Everything else is window dressing. This is what I wanted to hear and something it didn't seem like Strong or Scott did well. Really scout what you have when you're starting and how to win with it. We're playing Tulsa and ECU not the SEC. It doesn't take a total rebuild to hit the ground running. This is by far my favorite thing I've heard on Golesh so far
  20. 4/5 coaches cracked the rankings while they were with us. Thats a pretty good hit rate even if some completely nose dived afterwards. I believe Jeff Scott's tenure was more of a representation of him than our university and expect Golesh to get us back to our winning ways
  21. I think we pass Jeff Scott's tenure win total year 1
