The Marshall Center (and the University Center before that) has served beer before.... a place called the Empty Keg.

The "Top of the Palms" restaurant used to have a full bar -- when it was a member's only club.

Like I said on the other thread... the will have limits, but they will serve the beer and wine.  The Aramark guy is rather excited about it too, he said he always dreamed of running a sports bar...

Late July or August.  I haven't been hanging around the MC lately, so I don't know the latest update.  I think it will open up with the start of the Fall term.  They already have many parts done, painted, and ready to move stuff in.  The entire project won't be finished until they finish the "enhanced plaza," which will be where the old MC sits currently.  That will continue into Sp09 and maybe summer09.  In the end, it will have a bandstand (amphitheater) with seating near the Beefs, water fountains with bronze bulls, and a MOTL lawn with MOTL projected on the bookstore wall.

You should hit the jazz program up and get them ready for some jazz nights at the MC bandstand!  Beer and wine from the beefs... haha.

i thought all that with the bronze bulls and such was the enhanced version of the plaza.  i think they are building it at a watered down version. still nice, just not as nice.  either way, hopefully they will get the enhanced version and it will still be WAY better than the old MC.

what do u mean watered down version??? the enhanched version has already been approved and is going to get built......
