And to have Marquel as a runner up reminds me of the year he was the USAToday player of the week, I think it was after beating Pitt.  That season stacked up against Selvie's might be interesting to debate...going on memory alone.

Selvie was in the Heisman conversation that year. 'Till our first loss.

Our 100% defensive player was mentioned along with the others in contention, that year.

Marquel was probably our program's best player. Grothe our magic man. But Selvie had the talking heads sizing him up for the big prize.
