Nothing much Ned, absolutely nothing could have been done by a cop pursuing a drunk driver according to you.

I think more of a law enforcement presence could solve a lot of the crap that goes on out on the highways but I really don't see how it could have been much of a factor in this case because it happened so quickly, at least the Interstate part. Bottom line, though, is that even with more of a presence, they couldn't be everywhere, all the time, so the "where's a cop when you need one" moments would still be there.

I work with a guy who was roomates with one of the victims as recently as 6 months ago. He said some of his other buddies were following the 4 guys on 275 and decided they were hungry so they got off the Hillsborough exit to go to Taco Bus. Imagine stopping to get food and then getting back on the interstate and your friends have been involved in a tragic accident like that. I lost a cousin who was 17 when I was 16 at the time to a senseless car accident. It really makes you appreciate the time you're given.
