Hoops Fest - Who Is Going?

I tried talking my wife into going, but she has to get up super early Saturday morning and therefore will not be going. I'll still be there though. Driving over after work.

Not good at guesstimating crowds but that sounds about right, maybe a tad more .... and, sadly, not quite evenly split between civilians and students with the advantage to the civilians ... I'll just leave it at that.

 

Didn't stay the whole time, and sorry, no pics, but a couple of quick observations:

 

- Not entirely sure but I think Bo won the dunk contest with an Air Jordanesque display. Corey Allen would have gotten my vote with a dunk while leaping over a trainer ... something that Vic tried to emulate, but using Omo instead. Not a wise move and I'm sure Stan was cringing as he hit Jordan at shoulder level, almost sending them both crashing to the floor.

 

 - 10 minute scrimmage was NBA-like in it's lack of defense and dunks/attempted dunks. Even though there wasn't a whole lot done, it was nice seeing some new bodies legitimately posting up .... AC was reffing so hoping he's ready for season

 

 -  Zach doesn't look like the same player. The extra weight looks great on him.

 

 -  Again, not entirely sure but I think Troy Holston was on the "bench", in civvies, and it looks like he has a nice rapport with some of the guys already.
