Hopefully a painful lesson learned ... although with NFL officials, who the hell can tell any more. How was that body slam of our punt returner not unnecessary roughness in today's pro football climate?

He hasn't yet put a foot out of bounds when he put his hands on him. For a flag like that to change the game the way it did is crap.

Didn't watch the replay but if that's true ... not surprised based on earlier inconsistencies.

He would have landed out of bounds whether the defender pushed him or not but contact was initiated before he stepped out. As good as the defense played (not going to go crazy b/c they looked good vs a bad Jets offense), the defense killed the Bucs with stupid penalties that made 4th down attempts into automatic 1st downs. The Jets got 10 points from these types of plays. And the personal foul on Goldson was weak as **** before the half. It went from being 14-8 at the half to 14-12. These are the types of losses that keeps teams from having playoff hopes come week 15-17.

Yeah, it was Gholson play that was a little sketchy ... although they had an NFL official dweeb commenting on it and if you slow it down, looks like there may have been helmet to helmet but that wasn't what was called. SOmething about a defenseless receiver ... which, if that wasn't legal, let's seriously go to flag. You could tell Lynch, as the color guy, was incredulous at the call. He would have been out of the league years earlier if that wasn't legal/.

Blaming refs for losses is childish. No doubt about the flag on David. He shoved him at full speed out of bounds when geno smith clearly was running out Bucs looked completely unprepared . Their first drive was like a high school team. A bad team with a bad coach. Jets d looks tough, have no weapons on offense but Geno looked poised and promising. Revis looked uninterested. Josh Freeman is mark sanchez bad. 2 teams not making the playoffs.
