Tulsa, to be exact (future conference mates) had this to say on the future of college football...

 

How to be a part of this new group of football elites is pretty simple. Be in one of the super leagues like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are in the Big 12 Conference. 

There will be a handful of schools probably added to the top tier of football such as Notre Dame and perhaps a few schools like Boise State. 
Tulsa's recent upsurge in football certainly helps make the case for the Golden Hurricane. However, if this is about money - and it is always about money - it will be difficult for TU and many of its conference colleagues to be included. 
"It is frustrating we have not been able to solve those issues," Banowsky said. "The future of college athletics is at stake here."

There is enough noise coming from USF, Cincy, UConn Tulsa, USM, etc that it's clear we are putting up a fight

if the have nots have any foresight, i would be meeting with the NFL to form a minor league affiliation....

 

it is a stretch, but if you can become that clear pipeline to the nfl, or some sort of affiliation, then i think we can pull the better recruits and maybe some money from the NFL
