Why are these guys always shouting at me from their truck or van while I am in a parking lot or in traffic?

Like the 3rd or 4th time this year someone wants to sell me a theater from their van (truck in this case).

Seriously I am stopped at a stop light minding myself rocking out to Metallica and this guy is hollering at me from 3 lanes over. So I turn off the sick thrashing guitar and this guys asks me if I want to buy a home theater. They were "over shipped." "No!" "Are you sure?" "Only of its free." "Jibber jabber jibber jabber (I could see he was slightly annoyed but did not understand completely what he said as I put my music back on at this point but I inferred from his remark and expression he thought I was **** for asking for it for free, or acted as if he couldn't believe I would pass up his super cheap offer)."

So I heard some of these guys actually are legit and pay taxes and have permits to sell their BS from the back of their vehicles.

Anyone else tired of being approached by these guys? Maybe I just look really gullible? I guess I fit their profile somehow.

Anyone have any good ideas to troll them next time? I think maybe I'll offer them Monopoly money? Google search revealed some people troll the Craigslist adds they out up and arrange a meeting and be a no show. Maybe next time say I bought from them last week, or I bought a home theater from a van yesterday in the Walmart parking lot. It maybe I can tell them I need to go get my white van first because they won't fit in my car and ask them to wait for me.

I haven't had to deal with those guys in a long time, but I'm getting tired of seeing people standing on the median of an intersection everyday asking for money. Some intersections you see people at all 4 medians and it looks like they even have shift changes.....it's getting ridiculous.

However, your story made me think of the lady who thought she bought an ipad for $200 and it turned out to be a mirror :D

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
