Who would have ever figured Texans could be taught to count?

I'd hate for someone from Texas to come in here and start comparing the academics of the their schools to ours.

committed to tx. guess that education didn't mean that much. I wasn't alone getting fooled on this one.

Or maybe he just figured Texas is one of the best programs in college football, has almost unmatched exposure, world class facilities, and is one of the best universities in the country.

Compared to Stanford?  Come on.  If I was a kid coming out of college and had a chance to go to Stanford, it would be a no brainer (great football school and world class education).  Stanford is a one of the best universities in the world, not country.

Thx

It would be a no brainer for you. Everybody has their own criteria for choosing a school ..... and of the worldwide universities rankings, Texas is in the top 10 of the "BCS" programs, top 30 overall ... I think his education will be just fine.

True, everyone has their own criteria.

I just know that an education from Stanford carries a ton more weight.  A quick glance at wikipedia shows Stanford is ranked across the board in everything.  I am sure if someone is hiring and they see a Harvard/Yale/Stanford/etc degree, they move to the front of the line.

I visited Stanford last summer and it is a gorgeous campus, I would never leave if I went there!!
