of 110 people from the 300 level. They played louder, sounded more crisp, and way better quality. Imagine if they had brought all 480 members? The HOT needs a change in their leadership, since the current leadership obviously does not care.

I wrote to Dr M a few weeks ago and suggested that we Mic the band. Maybe others should write to him as well.

In all fairness though I couldnt hear the Chiefs last night from my section but could hear the HOT. I re- watched the game on DVR today and FSU band was mic'ed last night.

Problem is Ray Jay and those commercials. They need to Mic the band and play them over the speakers or use amplification.

If ESPN puts a mic on them, it's just for TV. People on this board were saying that the FSU band played louder because they were mic'd, but that has no effect on the stadium sound. They just played louder and clearer. Only song that I could tell the HOT was playing was The Bull.

I could hear the HOT last night, but couldnt hear the chiefs. Depends where you were sitting I suppose. I sit directly accross from Hot. So maybe that is why?

I suggest writting to DR. M the head of the Hot and letting him know your thoughts.

Let's all just face the facts. The Marching Chiefs are a far superior band, not just to HOT, but to most of the teams in college football.

The music program at Florida State is one of the best in the nation. It's one of the few areas they exceed all other colleges in the state.

I'm in 125 and didn't hear HOT all night. I did hear the FSU Pep Band. It could have been just proximity. I believe I heard them play 'The Bull' too.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
